Re: Guessing the possible Aegean DLC content
It looks to me that a string of bad decisions by SCS created a domino effect and now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Developing HoR before Belarus and Ukraine, then deciding not to release it and finally cutting Greece from WB. All they have left regarding Greece is a bad( release it on its own) or an even worse choice(make an Aegean DLC with parts of Turkey in it).

Re: Guessing the possible Aegean DLC content
I can't aee the problem with small more frequent release priced accordingly
Both Balkan and Greece have their challenges when commes to interpret the landscape in the best possible way
Türkiye can easlly be on its own wirh updates to current landscape

Well, say that with regard to nordic countries (Norway, Sweden and Finland) from Scandinavia and Beyond The Baltic Sea respectively.
As a Polish, well... I strongly agree. Too many years of antagonism left a mark. The same is between Greece and Turkey, where Cyprus is an obvious example.JaDaKa wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022 09:13 (...)
Not too many people in the West care about what Turkey does, although their army has been committing atrocities against Kurds in Syria (or even in Turkey itself) for years.
It is just recently that has started been discussed due to their stance towards Finland and Sweden.
Personally the best and safest option is to release Greece and Turkey separately.

c) Releasing a DLC with a Greek and Turkish flag side by side wouldn't please either the Greek or the Turkish playerbase. You wouldn't release a DLC with Polish and Russian flags together, would you?
Yes...JaDaKa wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022 09:13 I agree with both @oldmanclippy and @Ch_R0me . It would be nice to be added as it also enables the ferry connection with Trieste and Toulon. Just separate though
Aegean DLC -> Greece
Anatolia -> Turkey
However I am still sceptical over how much of a priority should it be over having an overhaul of the older countries that really need the rework.
Looks at complete maps of V4 countries in-game and in reality
The overhaul of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary is quite overdue, especially after many roads were built/completed in the meantime...

Let's talk geography, not politics. Nizhny Novgorod is located in continental Europe, and the Asian part of the continent begins behind the Ural mountains, which is further east. But Turkey is divided by the Bosphorus Strait, which separates continental Europe and mainland Asia. Perhaps visually it is located in different places, and the Bosphorus generally visually separates Ukraine and Belarus. But there is a clear and official geographical position of the continent, which is worth considering.

You mean Europe and Asia, about Bosphorus?Midiangel wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022 10:38 Let's talk geography, not politics. I mean, this is a EURO truck simulator, not a Eurasian truck simulator. Why would the developers go wrong on their road map when Ireland and the north of Scandinavia have not yet been made?

Re: Guessing the possible Aegean DLC content
I think something along the likes of this would be a realistic guess. It could include 25 cities in total, which is generally the nr. of cities SCS have in their DLCs, 11 in Greece (inc. 2 on Crete and 1 in Rodos), 11 in western Turkey and 3 in Cyprus. And it could be called something like an Eastern Mediterranean DLC. Also it's overall size would be roughly the same as Iberia, maybe even a bit smaller. I would be pretty satisfied with it.

Re: Guessing the possible Aegean DLC content
Since in ATS, SCS is already pushing the boundaries East-ward, I would say why not. Yet, they're in a difficult spot, especially that Cyprus is being "between Europe and Asia" as well, like Turkey.
Yet, there is still an issue of animosity (and by extension, lack of ferries on the Aegean Sea).Arvidsson-Källqvist wrote: ↑09 Jun 2022 11:10 I think something along the likes of this would be a realistic guess. Re: Guessing the possible Aegean DLC content
I think what has also been suggested by @plykkegaard and @sachy are good and sensible.
DLCs bring money, having more smaller ones at a reduced price (however a bit more expensive than what it would be paid in total for a larger map DLC) is a good way to
a) Provide more income at a steady rate for SCS
b) Sooner releases
c) Less potential implications
Greece has a good enough size for a standalone DLC.
When "West Balkans" is released in Q1 2023, I would prefer to get Greece in Q4 2023 rather than Q3 2024 if it was to include Turkey as well.
But I am still not too confident that we will see any more of Turkey to be honest because it is also part of Asia.
Ireland, Scotland, Iceland and North Scandinavia would be more popular in my opinion, according to what I have been reading in the forum.
It is down to SCS though, it would be great if they managed to do it.
