German Cities Rework Discussion (Post-Austria)
Re: German Cities Rework Discussion (Post-Austria)
I hope they are because that backdrop is just awful. I've seen better mountains in 18WoS.

I see no reason to not trust in SCS to make them at the level of the Austrian Alps.

Of course, it's just the fact that it currently stands out so much. Not to mention that you shouldn't see the mountains/hills like if they started a kilometer outside of the city, it's not Denver. And unfortunately, it's only the cities that are reworked, any signs of mountains in southern Germany are still... Meh, even after initial revamp effort.

In the poll I voted for Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Mannheim
@Some newbie driver Pavel himself said that it is a debt to the players for which they themselves are to blame, so I am not surprised that it is going so quickly and I am only happy, because the cities should have been finished a long time ago, with the reworking of Germany

In the case of Munich, the mountains are so close that I’m sure they can’t just leave them as they are.

My vote goes to the Rhine-Ruhr next (Cologne, Duisburg, Dusseldorf & Dortmund). They are so close together that they need to come as one and its the main industrial centre of Germany. Also it would be a good one to get out of the way if Benelux rework is coming next after Switzerland. Though I suspect that we may see Munich, Mannheim and Kassel (maybe Leipzig and Dresden too) before the Rhine-Ruhr
I also hope that SCS doesn't forget about the rural roads in Germany once the cities are all done. They are also in need of a rework.

Yeah I very reluctantly split them up in the poll (didn't want someone voting for entire Rhine-Ruhr, Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich ) but I agree, the odds of any one of the Rhine-Ruhr cities coming without all the others seems slim to none.

That would definitely be wishful thinking unless the next update isn't for a year or sooldmanclippy wrote: ↑08 Mar 2023 17:12 Yeah I very reluctantly split them up in the poll (didn't want someone voting for entire Rhine-Ruhr, Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich )

Yes Pavel said that was one thing they considered a debt to do sometime in the future. But that doesn't imply it has to be done in certain pace, faster or slower. We had already several cities reworked on Germany but if I recall right, never so many on a single update. I'm glad they could put more resources on it, still, I didn't expected such a huge amount of content on a single release. Specially considering the enormous work they are doing at the same time with Austria before and Switzerland now. Better for us, indeed.Trucker Nik wrote: ↑08 Mar 2023 14:05@Some newbie driver Pavel himself said that it is a debt to the players for which they themselves are to blame
