Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
@VTXcnME Yeah, it probably is harder than it seems for sure.
Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
I mentioned in the Montana thread the other day but it seems like traffic got a little heavier with this last patch update or 2. I don't alter the game files and I don't run traffic mods anymore. Seems like a 10 to 15% increase to me though. Could just be me.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
Two things that bother me nearly from the beginning - and still exist.
First the way too short yellow phase at many (most?) traffic lights. Surprisingly in Montana I haven't encountered a traffic light with too short yellow phase yet! Maybe there are improvements on the way for the rest of the game (s) (ETS2 as well)!
Second the - in my opinion - way too short time between ringing of the bell/the warning light flashing at a railroad crossing and the moment the invisible barrier is there. There often isn't even time to react let alone bringing the truck to a standstill. Today in Montana northeast of Kalispell I was heading west. The tracks were crossing diagonally. The bells started ringing and before I could hit the brakes the truck crashed into the invisible barrier. Speed was 20 mph max (it was short behind a traffic light). Similar happened to me in other states. Very rare of course, but if you are too close to the crossing there is often no chance avoiding a crash! Highly unrealistic in my opinion. This shouldn't be a reaction test mini game!

If someone hasn't noticed yet: The Aero II hub cover is available as a painted and a chrome version, too! I don't know since when, just saw it at a repair shop. Anyway, thanks for that! I have been waiting very long for this!

Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
Some time ago, an update changed how T junctions were portrayed on the map. When the game first came out, they were T's. After one of the old updates, they were no longer straight T's, they now appeared as a sort of Y on the map, like these:

This was my pet peeve with the game for years. I simply hated those junctions, but weather it was this update or not, I finally noticed they have been replaced with proper straight T's.

Also, have they changed the weigh station pull in frequency? While driving through Montana I noticed I was bypassing a very high number of stations, and after reviewing the map, I appeared to only get pulled into 3 of 11 weigh station opportunities, 2 of which were in separate directions at the westmost one on I-90 in Montana.

Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
Not sure how the pull in frequency works, and whether it's entirely random. In my experience, the heavier the load I'm pulling is, the more often they want me to weigh.
I'm not sure if it's actually based on weight though.

Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
The way it used to work was simply a flat 60% chance of being pulled in (way too high and unchangable through text file or console editing for some stupid reason) which is why 3 of 11 is abnormal, should of been 6 or 7 times.

/def/world/trigger_action.sii
trigger_action : trig_action.weigh
{
name: "Weight request (default)"
command: "weigh_req"
num_params[]: 0.6
}
change that to 0.0 or whatever you like and make it a mod.

Re: ATS 1.45 Discussion
Must have been luck of the draw. Driving Montana I don't think I've been cleared to pass one of them yet.
