Oh yeah, I can imagine scaling would be a nightmare.

I'm sorry, but I still think just increasing the empty space between cities and road exchanges would really add to the feeling of space, and show that the USA are HUGE, and would not imply so much work, IF you DON'T change cities, exchanges, and companies.
Just add empty space. Rubberband every road. Widen, copy this, paste here.
I don't want to be foed by anyone (well, really, I don't care and can't know) so this is my last intervention on the subject. Hugh!

Yeah, I agree: I feel it would impact Wyoming the most and the West Coast. Make more room for mountains, beautiful views, long grades and sweeping curves.

The US isn't one big city.

Well, even though the scale of the map is limited, horizontal landscapes can be done at greater distances without any problems(on highways). But I think they don't like to do that, though.

Very true: that helps greatly with the feeling as do tall mountains. But we really don't have either in base game.

This is what I mean:

There is a big empty place that could be filled with a more distant background.

Keep in mind that this poll only accounts for members on this forum. There are 177,443 members as of this post. Of that amount, I bet only 30-35% post here once every update or more. Of that, probably only 10-15% of us are regulars as in daily up to weekly. Where am I going with this? This poll does not represent even remotely close to the 2-5 million ATS players. So the numbers will be skewed. That's not including the numbers from ETS2. The sheer number of people that want a larger scale of 1:10 or even 1:15 is not as grand as one would think. Sure there are thousands that would love it....but there are millions of owners.

Soooo, because those want a larger scale means that those of us that are okay now, must sit at our desk 2 to 4 times longer to do the same as we do now. Options? There are no options with scale. Its either this or that. The game is currently at 1:20. We all play it which means its acceptable right? So because thousands want a larger scale, the millions left have decisions to make when its comes to playing. Accept it or not....just like the current situation. We accept or not. The game will never satisfy everyone, that's a given. The more this subject goes on, the more disappointing SCS will be to those of you that are not satisfied, that even goes across the board in all aspects of the game. If technology makes it faster to map, great. Cool beans. It still increases time to play the game. At best 1:15 would be a good compromise but 1:10 it just too much. I might as well get a CDL at that point.

I was trying to be modest, lol. I agree though. I didn't have concrete information to prove 1% because I know people will ask if I said that. But that's why I just went with daily to weekly.

Oh, come on lol. Taking five minutes to get between cities as opposed to two is not even close to doing it for real.
