Why would the "fix" something that was never wrong??? IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THE REAL ONE and if it theoretically was "unable" to hook to a trailer, the air suspension is there for it... Unbeliavable. Now there's a huge gap between the fifth wheel and the top of the kingpin and it's only a matter of time until that is also "fixed" and we end up with a truck that clips the fenders on the trailer yet again.

Sometimes I honestly can't shake the feeling that whoever is responsible for reporting stuff like this, never ever saw a real truck or been anywhere near one in their life....

@55sixxx it was me who reported this.
I reported this because 5th wheel was so high that you could not attach any owned trailer with suspension all the way down. So cool down a bit.
That report was reopened again yesterday to fix incorrect height of coupling.

Can anyone tell what changes have exactly been made to the Volvo FH 2012?

Funny thing is that, I tried the same with the Cool Liner, Dry Liner, Profi Liner, Paper Liner, Base Game Box trailers and didn't had a single bit of issue with them while in a mod free profile... So something was wrong at your end. And the picture I prodived right there shows the way it was, was indeed correct.

Likewise no hitching issues this end.

Just massive game instability, falling through the floor, etc, you know, usual fare.

ofc there is none because it was fixed, but what exactly i dont know, i only saw the hook point is 64mm higher now but this doesnt affect if you can drive under a trailer, SCS needs a new approach to the whole trailer hitching, the 5th wheels needs proper collision as does the underside of the trailer so you can slide it on the 5th wheel like it should be done and not let the 5th wheel go through the ground plate and wait until the game detects the hook points to be near each other

This was the initial report by me, from game version 1.45.1.0s

A fix was introduced in 1.45.1.6s, which allowed to attach the trailer, but the hook locator remained too high causing a big gap. So my report was reopened again. The final fix hasn't been introduced yet.

Also, speaking of "Exacly as in real life":

Here's a TGX which has a lower 5th wheel. So, go figure.

I honestly didn't saw nobody having issues attatching a trailer, I even searched the 1.45 bug section.

And lower fifth wheels are available IRL but the way the whole process of hooking a trailer and loading it, makes the lower option have annoying cosmetic issues.... And after years and years of dealing with annoying comestic bugs I'd rather have a bit more challenging hooking process other than an eye sore whenever I look outside or take a picture... And since both ways are realistic, the first one I showed above wins by a mile.
