The trend has changed a bit. Now 8x4 fh16's are more common. The trouble has also started in the alps.55sixxx wrote: ↑28 Jul 2022 17:54 Yeah, they do look better tbh. But still, SCS could have made both versions ownable in case someone likes the other better.
And can't wait to see the usual 8x4 730S's on TMP pulling this trailer and also having trouble to turn because their back end keep hitting the landing gear (At least I hope it has collision there.).

I never understand why that obsesion with 8x4 in TMP, seeing how "sporty" the players drove on TMP a more agile and fast 4x2 will fit their driving skills best
Re: ETS2 1.45 Discussion
I always saw them as casuals who think that if something is the most expensive in game then it’s the best option.
Re: ETS2 1.45 Discussion
Because it is in most games usually.
I always go for the looks though, side skirts are a must

It seems the game runs better now. From Stockholm to Hannover with no stuttering, except some small stuff outside Hannover. 60 fps 90% of the trip - that's good on my old rig. Haven't tried Austria yet though.

Huh, in the trailer browser area, The tankers, and the Silos have alot of Tcn skins. Some are for Volvo or related to a construction prefab. There is even one for Max builders which are only for scenery and two other skins that only have a couple of stripes on the side. o.o
Re: ETS2 1.45 Discussion
@abasstreppas Good you talking about that, some of us really noticed the game running less demanding on our PCs too, for some it felt like placebo but for the ones more on the verge of the limit to handle steady 60fps it seemed important

I'm glad that SCS finally fixed the stuttering problems on using ownable trailers since the problem occurred on the release of 1.32. Now I'm frequently capable to haul long trips to Turkey as the far east, and Portugal as west end, and reworked areas (Austria, Hanover, etc.)

Re: ETS2 1.45 Discussion
The old fuel tankers were completely out of scale. As Trenero showed you, real life tankers are way smaller. And that's because they don't need to be bigger to reach the max cargo limits in here. I'm sure we both agree SCS should keep fixing all not-well-sized things in the game. I remember you specifically talking about some old trucks, for example. Then, with trailers it's the same. We cannot be asking SCS to fix till the last detail that we don't consider realist and at the same time ask them to preserve them. Whoever wanna keep driving them, I'm sure it's something doable with a mod.
I expect already some complains had been done because "SCS doesn't know how to do trailers that don't clip with the 8x4." I drove a lot with a 8x4 Volvo time ago for the lols and the looks (and the lazyness of keep changing truck every time I wanted to heavy haul)... But that "the bigger the better" trend on TMP seems a crazy parade of showroom vehicles. And can't wait to see the usual 8x4 730S's on TMP pulling this trailer and also having trouble to turn because their back end keep hitting the landing gear (At least I hope it has collision there.).

Perhaps it was originally planned to add a Jost 5th wheel for the new DAF, but for some reason it was moved to the second phase.
