They are completely new, high quality models. It's especially visible on the Renault T - new fifth wheels are a massive improvement.

That's good news. Hopefully, after some point, they become adjustable.

I kinda doubt it... the new models we got are the classic bolted ones.
I'd assume if SCS was working on adjustable fifth wheels, we would get the sliders instead.

@Wolfi ,Maybe that's exactly the reason we haven't got the sliding models, because they still are WIP!

Well.. but it wouldn't make any sense to make new quality fifth wheel models a month or 2 before totally replacing them with different ones, now would it?

even if it is WIP they would have added the sliding 5th wheel model to the trucks already that have them, like 8x4, 6x4 and 6x2/6x2/4

What I mean, is we got thenfixed models only, because in the future we'll get customization for fifth wheel, and we'll able to swap between fixed and sliding.

I honestly doubt game's engine will be capable of telling a difference between fixed and sliding fifth wheel.
To me it looks more, like SCS just replaced fifth wheels on those 3.5 trucks with the closest looking models from JOST. Although, they did swap the old short plate one on the T, for a more common long plate on all 6x chassis.
But yeah, the old ones were bolted, so they went for bolted ones.
Now that I think of it.. it makes sense.. they went for the "not really adjustable" variant, so that people don't complain about not being able to adjust the sliders.... 🤔
