@xXCARL1992Xx, I remember the discussion, but there was no blue light only during the day due to engine limitations... At night that blue light on roundabouts was shining great...But now even during the night, blue light is gone.

So what the hell happened? Why SCS removed such great blue lighting and replaced it with standard dark yellow? 🤬 I always drove through Norway at night in game, just to see that great blue lighting...Now it's gone. Did SCS remove it on purpose, because ppl demanded fixing for lighting in tunnels? Now I'm reeeeally mad. Someone owes us an explanation.

do you can do any other posts then to just repeat everything in one liners ?

looks like someone messed with the hookup files for the tunnel or made changes to it that affected it, idk if the files are also used in other places on the map but i had 1.44 file on my drive and just copied them over

so yeah, it is a bug and should be reported as such

I think it only works at night. It doesn't work at daytime because the game currently treats tunnels the same way it treats shadows.
From the discussion of update 1.40:
abasstreppas wrote: 16 Mar 2021 16:53 I'm curious why a shadow model can't be used to stop the sunlight in tunnels :?
krmarci wrote: 16 Mar 2021 16:58 @abasstreppas I think the problem is exactly that - they are using shadow models in the tunnels. This means that tunnels will behave as if you were outside, in the shadow of something, like a house, or some rocks, only completely surrounded by it. The difference is that while houses and rocks refract some of the light, if you go deep enough into a tunnel, there is almost no light left, as the refraction covers more and more space. It seems that SCS is yet unable to simulate well the loss of light to refraction inside tunnels.
(I thought of a solution that they could turn on nighttime visuals while in tunnels, but I think that wouldn't solve the problem, either - the transition would be quite abrupt, and possibly not satisfying.)
pigbrother wrote: 16 Mar 2021 17:03 You might be right, kmarci, and probably that's the reason you can see an even lighter area running in front of you in the tunnel at a few hundred meters, same distance as the shadows rendering distance in broad daylight.

However, only Max and the Devboys band can give us a meaningful answer.
Max wrote: 16 Mar 2021 21:15 yes, krmarci is right. we are aware of the issue, tried few tricks, but this is not easily solvable in current scope of work and must wait till 1.41.

it was same even before but not that visible. fixing light intensities and their ranges made bigger difference between day and night and few tricks we used ceased to work.
So do not expect any changes until the next overhaul of the lighting system.

Mate, did you read my few posts above? 🙄 I'm the one who reported it to you guys, that I checked it at NIGHT two days ago, and there was no blue light...SCS suddenly removed it completely, no matter if you drive those roundabouts at night or during bright daylight.

So as Carl said, it's probably a bug and should be reported as it was working until 1.44.

...or SCS removed it on purpose, I'm suspicious 🧐 Removal of those lights would bring an end to endless demands or requests, whatever you call it, to fix lighting during daytime in tunnels. You know what I mean? No outstanding blue lights at roundabouts anymore, no more yelling about fixing the problem during daytime.
