AI improvements would be really nice to have. More realistic braking (not stopping instantly), smoother lane changes, better merging, and so on.

I'm anticipating 1.46 to drop open beta late October or into November. I think blogs for Texas will increase a month after Montana is dropped to start up the Texas hype. The end of the year is always mad crazy.. sooo much to get done before the break.
Engine update? Not so sure now. I assumed it would need a full update period before attempting Texas releasing with it. Launching Texas with DX12 without a dx12 beta for 1.45 is risky. Depends on how stable SCS has it out the box I suppose.
Lots of added ICC's for 1.46. A lot as in North if what Montana is doing.
AI improvements, yep. Mark that. It will break immersion in Texas to continue to see the AI stop at the intersection when the light changes in these hige cities. With this in mind, functional dog lights and similar traffic lights. Getting this working for Texas would be huge.
Livestock trailer got fixed. Hidden XXXX barriers are easier now. Hidden roads came. How about option to hide banners and flags at any time. They do not require a shop to do in real life.
Heavier ran for Texas. We get severe thunderstorms here. So heavy sometimes that people pull over and let the storm pass. Or stay on the road, put on flashers and decrease speed to like 20-25 mph.

F7 is one of the game's most underutilized features. There is so much that can be done with it, that isn't done, that should be able to be done. And that starts with sliding trailer axles.

I almost never use F7 anyways, mainly because if I need to be towed, instead of doing that I go into free cam mode and press f9. And then I don't need to tow it.

Dear SCS, please add new trucks to traffic the day these trucks release regardless of any update.

Why do I think we will get DX12, improved traffic and game engine in this update? Because ETS2 is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and this update will probably be launched in October, (open beta) and I expect something big and special, and if it doesn't come in this update, then definitely in 1.50, an update with a zero at the end, is repeated, approximately once every 3 years, so it is the reason for some special functions

I believe it’s a matter of ‘when’ than whether they underutilise the option. IMO the right way is that involves weight distribution with axles (which also ties with multi drop which again reverts back to variety of trailer/cargo) that being something just gimmicky. As long as that functionality is absent, there’s no point. The necessary elements still aren’t in place.
