I'll keep this updated with blogs as they get posted along with a screenshot map similar to the Austria and Germany Cities rework threads I've made.

Considering how tiny Switzerland is, I think it could be safe to say it will be a 1.47 addition. 1.46 is too soon and 1.48 too late for something this small.

To tell the truth, the resulting pictures do not cause a wow effect, as the pictures of Austria did. Let's wait for development.

I agree that 1.47 seems most likely at this stage. Hard to tell of course but it does follow logically.

Agreed, I too think Spring Update is more likely despite the size.

Anyway, it's high time we bid adieu to the Bern-Turin and Munich-Milano roads. Excited to see more development screenshots.

Yeah people said the same for Austria as well till they showcased the crown jewel aka the Alps.

Pic 4 is in Geneva at the west end of the Pont du Mont-Blanc

Pic 5 is just 1 block further west looking back towards pic 4 in Geneva:

Austria already made the leap to "wow" status, Switzerland will likely be the same quality level which IMO is the highest in either game so I can't complain. Screenshots look awesome so far to me.

The state os Switzerland today is quite frankly, obnoxious when compared to it's bordering buddies (Italy, France, Germany, Austria). In-game the roads are filled with sharp curves everywhere and it screams 2012 with small hills on each side of the road that makes everything feel way smaller than it should, just to save the work of modeling stuff farther from the road.

It's about time we say byebye to it.

It is going to be a great day when Old Swiss is gone, imo the pictures show is incredible to look at, after Austria i have no doubt that maps and reworks af going to be superior in mapping and details. Driving north-south will finally have a feeling of the real world.
