Switzerland Rework Discussion

The Benelux and Visegrad Countries have not been touched in at least a decade. Does SCS not care about them either? They can't just rework everything at once. I want the UK rework as much as you do, but that would take a long time to do and other areas need to be reworked too.

Image 3, 6 and 12 are all in the same place as Christmas Image 4. I think enough scenery improvements have been made to render the old image obsolete. With the new details with the building and stone bridge, I wonder if anyone can make a new shot at finding this location

Pics 3, 6 and 12 are at Viamala Gorge at route 13 which runs parallel to the A 13, so it's not the Simplon Pass.

Now that is impressive! I wonder how they were able to fit both the A13 and Road 13 within the space that they have to work with. Perhaps this also could be what they will do with the Gotthard Pass further west as well as one of the roads in Montenegro with the unrelated West Balkans DLC?

If that is indeed the Simplon Pass, then a large section of the Western Italian Alps (From Milan to Turin and everything north of that line) would also need to be reworked in order to fit these Swiss-Italian connections appropriately. Plus, there was a hint of the inclusion of the French A40 (and therefore the Mont Blanc Tunnel) in the Geneva blog which would link up to the T2 in Aosta.

My biggest wish is that they just decide to throw everything in the bin and build not only the A5 but also the missing A4 between Milan and Turin instead of the fictional country road we have now. Don't think that will happen but I hope that at least we're getting a part of the A5, then towards Turin it could at some point become the country road we now have in the game. Including it would be a requirement if they want to bring the Mont Blanc Tunnel as well, I'm very curious about what they will do because I did not understand from that blog if they will only include the A40 between Geneve and Lyon or if they will continue mapping towards Italy. Either way, I feel like it should be in the game as both this and the Frejus tunnel we already have are quite relevant in terms of heavy vehicle traffic, though I don't know if the game scale will allow it. If they include the Simplon Pass, integrating the road to the existing map without some sort of rework of Milan's road layout would be another big challenge, or they could once again make a fictional road that links to the existing one close to Libellula in Milan. I'm very eager to see all of this even though I obviously would like to see some more extensive parts of North Italy reworked, but I will just have to be patient as I know that's still a long time away.
