Now I haven't seen a new cargoes list of what will be in the game, but me as a Missouri native, and knowing the suburb of Valley Park, there is a mulch site where many neighborhood garbage trucks drive their yard waste over to be ground up into compost. Sometimes empty pallets get turned into compost two ways. Either they are ground up, magnets remove the nails, or they are burned and the ash sometimes get sent to places to where they mix it with dirt and other dried chopped up leaves and sticks which some of the compost all mixed together is bagged to be taken to places like HomeStore or Lowes.

Now I am waiting for the official map design for the Missouri DLC to come out. And I am hoping that Cape Girardeau does make it. Although that Midwest Truck and Towing is really in Scott City, but scale wise, if Cape does get added, it will make it look if the truck repair company is in Cape Girardeau instead of Scott City.

Yesss. Well that is a first, lol. I've never seen post go from the Wishlist thread to the General Discussion thread. I wish more moderators see it like this. My opinion is that more devs will read the discussion thread than the wishlist thread. That's why its upsetting to me when a moderator moved the North American Agriculture thread I made 4 years ago from the General Discussion Thread to the wish list. I honestly think that is why Agriculture is soooo poor in ATS because not enough people chimed in on that thread. I put it in my signature but most people still don't see it.

There is only 11 pages for that Ag thread I made. I am 100% positive that for a 4 year old thread on that particular topic, there should be 25-30 pages deep at least. Considering that every state that will get added to ATS in the future also has agriculture, that topic should be relevant for years and years for ATS. Too much is already missing imho for Agriculture. The only thing we can do is keep talking about it in the general threads. I talk about it constantly over and over and over in the California base map thread. I think the rebuild team is getting it though because we are getting some Ag movement for phase 3.

I agree with my idea being moved to the Missouri Discussion thread. I was the one that came up with this thread in the first place as I as a Missouri resident has toured many places. As I learned on Google maps, the only way since I figured out how to make Google maps be a little more like the SCS scale is to rotate the mouse wheel out to where it shows 20 miles which on my mounce, that is more like about the 5th notch. I came up with a new construction job for Branson which is located off of MO-165 which is a fish hatchery remodel job. By using the scale that SCS has, it may be a tight squeeze even to get the Grand Country Village put in. As a past regular visitor of Branson, the Grand Country Village is a restaurant, a otel, a fun center with an arcade, a theater, and a motel! The area where the Grand Country Buffet is almost like a mini-mall with an ice cream shop, a gift store, a theater, and it too also han arcade inside. I think they may have one dock either on the eastern side of the complex or the western side of it. They also have one bay for the trash pickup.

I am now waiting on the latest news of the state. I did mention at the beginning of this thread is one of the tourist cities that should be in the game is Branson. The Old Country Buffet I came up with my own parody for it calling it the Big Guitar village as when you drive down the strip in Branson from the east what you see sticking out of the window along the south wall of the Fun Center at the Grand Country Village is a larger-than-life bass guitar. And I am not sure but I think they have about one or two loading docks. It is almost center between 65 and 376. The city has two Walbert stores. One across from the great big entertainment center and restaurant, and the other is where 76 meets MO 13. I found a place which is a fish hatchery that is undergoing renovation and alerted SCS about seeing if they would like to put it into the game. Branson is also always building. And never know that there could also be a new theater being constructed.

By also looking at Google with the scale zoomed out to where it might give the viewer a rough idea of what STL might look like in the game is that since 64 (US 40), 100, and 44 all come in very close by the time you reach 170, that the only roads west of 270 are really 141 and 109. Cutting 64 and 44 as far west as 270 is good as you are opening the door for a choice of at least 3 surface roads. Manchester Road running only as far east as McKnight, Watson Road which is also Chippewa which the old 66 traversed onto Gravois, and you also have Clayton Road coming in towards Ladue and then between Brentwood Blvd. and Hanley which there is an industrial park you have Eager Road, and proceed further east, into Richmond Heights, you have Dale Avenue. In Brentwood, there is either a Plugged or a Charged store. Also at that location is a HomeStore.

If they wanted to drive RIGHT through the center of town (Which would be quite odd for a Truck in Springfield, but its what they would need to do to see the 66 Hubcaps) these would be the major landmarks. But it would be VERY cramped and you would not see trucks.

A better road to see similar stuff would be Chestnut Expressway if they wanted to bisect the town. Its not really the most commonly used trucker route I don't think, but I have seen trucks on it before and it does highlight a couple major features.
It is by far the best road to see Hammons Tower from a distance that truckers would ACTUALLY drive. It also has Old City Hall which looks spooky and cool, the window lights at the top change color frequently from like Green to Red to Blue.
This is easily the most recognizable road to anyone in Springfield I think, hit the buildings listed below and everyone will immediately recognize it as Springfield.

Connected to Chestnut Expressway but not a Trucker road is National Ave. There is a couple landmarks on it I think I notable, but I don't expect any of these to be in, so I am just sharing them for fun.
MSU has a bunch of unique brutalist architecture buildings, one of which you can see right when you approach it on this road, and its where the pseudo-front of MSU is. This road goes all the way down to one of SGF's two diverging Diamonds.

Further down James River Freeway is a fun little two lane roundabout that connects James River Freeway with Glenstone, it also goes to the Nature Center (which is a beautiful place anyone visiting Springfield should definitely see) on Lake Springfield.

Speaking of Glenstone. Glenstone (Also known as Bus 65 for much of it) is a much more likely trucker route that I think could feature on the East side of town.
On the South End there is a Walmart Supercenter and a Quarry. In the center it passes by the Kraft plant and the O'Reiley Auto Parts Headquarters and Distribution Center, in the North its close to the Bass Pro Shop Base Camp/Distribution Center.
Unfortunately, it is pretty lacking in "interesting views" though. There are multiple points where you pass railroad lines (Which makes sense for Springfield as a Railroad City), as well as the mall and Brad Bradshaw's Dystopian ad tower.
Springfield is also the headquarters for a LOT of churches and assemblies in the area, they are all pretty buildings, but I am so desensitized to them and there are so many I frequently barely even notice them. but these are just a couple of things that capture the road imo.

Kearney is the street I grew up on, but it really feels less urban for much of the northwest side in general. Lots of patches of Trees and Grass on one side while buildings on the other, and it kind of alternates. East side is much more urban.
The road is one of the places where I feel like you can see the hilliness of Springfield the most, because it goes up and down and up and down as you look into the distance. Here are a few notable spots:

Kansas Expressway is an important road for Residents, but not so much for Truckers except where it exits North onto MO-13. I would hope to see it go North from Kearney as the primary way on to it.
I still Strongly strongly urge SCS to include MO-13 because its such a popular road for truckers and residents, and is the primary way to get to Kansas City from here. It also passes through the North Diverging Diamond (which we are very proud of).
Note that there is a tan building with a red horizontal line across the top of it seen from the diverging diamond (PJC Insurance) that red line actually glows at night, and is one of the memorable things I always remember driving from North into Springfield at night.

The two other sites which Springfielders are proud of include the Giant Fork (Which is no longer the worlds largest giant fork since Oregon one upped us) and the Pythian Castle. But they are both pretty off the road from anywhere a truck would ever go.

There are three views that are very memorable for me in Jefferson City (Which is also a pretty hilly city like Springfield in places)
First is Madison Street where it stems off of US 54 (From Lake of the Ozarks), It has the capital hospital, and tt also has Central Dairy which is the most famous food attraction for locals. I haven't seen any images or intentions towards Lake of the Ozarks yet. But I think Lake of the Ozarks and US 54 is extremely beautiful and could easily lead to Jefferson City the scenic way from Highway 13 or US 65.

I still really hope they include Highway 13. It may seem like a boring road, but its very homely to me and one I think most Springfielders have driven much more than US 65.

As a St. Louis area resident, and I am glad that Patrik got to visit St. Louis. I hope he got to visit the St. Louis City Museum and hear the mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ play a tune or two. Downtown St. Louis does look pretty cramped as ever. The building which used to be the International Shoe Factory, is also one of the buildings which contains the City Museum, some offices and a few condos. So SCS could in a way let their mind wander on what to put there for delivery jobs. Only other places downtown that might be nice for deliveries would be KSDK Channel 5 which they have an indoor loading dock, and I am sure there are some electronic items they could count as items to deliver to the station. Over on 4th Street is the Federal Reserve. That place does have a loading and unloading area. The place has an elevator that would take the player from street level into the underground unloading area. I found an area where players can also take empty pallets to be ground into chip mulch which is St. Louis Compost. The place is really in Peerless Park which is in a way Valley Park. It's off MO 141 just north of 44.

Back in the days when I-64nstopped at the Mississippi River, and US 40 continued on into Wentzville, there were at least a couple of expressway names for that route. From the city like near the Central West End to I can't remember how far west, it was called the "Red Feather Expressway". And then at least in St. Louis County, it was called the "Daniel Boone Expressway". Between Vandeventer and close to Grand, there was a section of that road where it was just a surface street. That was by the old Famous Barr warehouse. Now I am not sure what they are going to do with I-44 between I-270 and at least Kingshighway or Grand. I am not sure if they are going to rip it out and keep Watson Road/Chippewa/Gravois in the game, or what. Watson Road does see a lot of truck traffic. I think what should be done with I-44. They should in a way go back to how St. Louis looked in the early 1960s when 44 did stop at what is now I-270. And for 270, they should close a section of it running from at least 44 up to what is either Page (MO-340) or Page (MO-364/MO Secondary route D). For I-64, the stretch between Ballas Road and Kingshighway or Grand should be closed. At least then we could stand a good chance of getting some businesses in. Like along 64 between Brentwood and Hanley, you have Best Buy (Charged), several places along Ballas Road for deliveries from 42 Print that is because of the massive amount of offices plus 2 hospitals. Plus, it would at least give space for at least having a stretch of MO-100 running only as far east as McKnight Road, and could run it out to MO-109. There is a Dierbergs on 100 (Manchester Road) and sometimes I hear that they and Schnucks in Des Peres have cooking schools. The store does have I think a couple of loading bays. Schnucks in Des Peres has 3 loading bays. Now the Schnucks in Kirkwood really has four loading bays.

Now when it comes for rest stops, Kirkwood Commons in a way seems to serve as a rest stop. That is because you have a Target and a Walmart, plus several restaurants. Then head west, there is a rest area at the Road Ranger which is across from CIT Trucks. There is one in Pacific and I know there is also one at MO-19 at 44.

Now when I watched a video based on the research tour, I noticed that they may at least try to have Branson as a scenic town. When I looked at the Grand Country Village, right where the famous restaurant is at, it seems that they have a single bay on the east end of the big building plus some other spaces where the players could park. So if Branson was to be a deliverable scenic town, there is the Grand Country Village, the Fish Hatchery where players can deliver materials to, and maybe a boat delivery destination jus south of the fish hatchery.
