The Sequential Lampmask Texture

I believe this is the right place to post this. If not, please let me know. It's been a while since I've played an SCS game but, I've seen a few posts about Sequential indicators and even seen an official SCS DLC featuring them. As someone who has worked with AI traffic and lampmasks in the past, I instantly became interested. However, I'm not sure where to start, given that lampmasks blink a solid color based on the specific area/portion of the model the texture is mapped to. I have heard you can use flares and adjust the speeds to mimic that type of turning indicator, but I wish to go further. After all, realism is the key. So my question to anyone @SCS Software as well as any of the super talented modders out there. Are sequential turning indicator lampmask textures something that is possible to create? If so, any tips on how you did it? Thanks for reading.
