The new Pickup truck is indeed a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

That new AI pickup truck is ugly, no doubt. Maybe SCS was working recently closed with Chevy to bring this beauty into the game before actual release. It can be all new 2024 Silverado model.

Can imagine that's the truck for Toyota factory in San Antonio?!
Oh that’s a good guess actually, it makes sense they would go with something very fictional for those car factories.
I actually like the truck. It’s so ugly, it’s cute. I wouldn’t buy it in real life but for ATS purposes, it’s great. Keep’em coming. I hope to see a lot of fugly new vehicles if we are to :
1) get car factories
2) get new car dealerships
3) get new car hauler with new vehicles
4) load up AI traffic

Give us 18-24 new vehicles. Old and new. Go back to the 90-00’s era. Mini vans where are they. 3-4 generations of Honda’s, Nissans, Fords, Chevy’s, etc. Where are the luxury cars Beamers, Benz, Lexus. 2-3 exotics Dallas, Houston, LA, they do exist here. Spawn them low though. There’s a ton more variety in Class C missing than Class 8 in ATS. Considering class C is not the focus of the games, no licenses are necessary if you get close real life model. ATS AI traffic variety is as low as the company variety. So thumbs up from me for any new AI vehicle. F100, yes you too. Fugly or not, its for a great cause.

Yes it was the 2020 Xmas stream in which Jakob was saying “no promises but they are working on busier environments”. That could mean across the board. Side streets with more activity and the roadways themselves.

The new bus, yes. Please create a couple of color variants. Don’t be afraid to let the concept team do skins for it. There’s too many plain vehicles in both games. Not everyone plays with mods. For every vehicle model there could be like 5 color variants. I’d like to see a 6th one played with sometimes. Make one with imperfections. Scratches, paint chips, cracked windshield, missing hull cap, donut tire, missing gas cover, open sun roof, new dealership plates, busted headlight or taillight, rapid blinkers, windows half way open, dent in door, dragging tail pipe, failing emissions ( people keep asking for smoke do it to fake AI). Be more spontaneous with AI vehicles. There are hoopties that exist still on NA roads. It’s not all spanking brand new here.

Also quite interested to see the infotainment/navigational device screen enhancements, especially as someone who likes to use the standalone GPS on the 9900i.
This.

I'm happy to see the driveshaft torque being included, you could see the nose rise when accelerating hard off the line, this will add to that. More truck physics is never a bad thing.

That looks like a well to do ranch truck. Belongs PERFECTLY with Texas. 3500 with brush guard? Yeah. Texas indeed. Rich oil baron who wants to feel like he's a rancher? Nailed it SCS.

I'm holding off on OB for now, nothing in there that jiggles my fancy enough to be in a hurry. But there are CERTAINLY some cool things added. US-20 in there too? SCS-Thanks for listening to the forum and getting that added. VERY COOL.

Man, between the OB release notes, and the "Oil Fields and Chemical Plants" blog..... I'm starting to get a wee bit excited that Texas is getting closer and closer. I'mma be belting out George Straight, Amarillo by Morning as I cross the NM line eastbound. :D

Anyone looking at the game files, does it look like/feel like we're moving into Texas with this update? I hope. . .

The driveshaft feature is a nice one, although the truck is "shaking" a lot in my opinion (might be interesting, when the cabin is moving, too. We'll see in ETS2...). Someone wrote realistic stiffness and truck stability values are at about 60/70%. But in what direction?
Left =loose. Right=tight. I set mine here: L-----------I-------R
Give or take a little. Depends on the truck as they do react different. This is with xbox controller.

I wonder when we'll see the doghouse lights in ATS. Initially they were announced for 1.44, but because of an issue they did not make it into the update:
natvander wrote: 26 Apr 2022 02:03 We have discovered a last minute issue with them and may not make the 1.44 deadline. But they are still in the works.
That was back in April and they're still not in ATS. I hope the issue isn't a complete "showstopper" for the lights.
