Do the "Photo Ops" work or not? I am just pulling up to my 2nd one on my way to Texas on a Contract, time is of the essence...I haven't quite figured out the way they are supposed to work I tried one leaving Seattle, took a bunch of pics...Just not sure how/if this is working and would really appreciate some input...
I have over 1000 miles to drive and like and hours left until my contract expires and well I don't make a habit of "going back" for things

They do work. You go into photo mode, and take a picture when the icon lights up and tells you the name of the photo op.

Good to know but is there like a "Magic Spot? Because I tried multiple pics at one I found on a bridge outside Seattle and nothing happened. I mean maybe I was supposed be on the other side but I definitely stopped at the Icon, They are so far definitely less clear as say a Viewpoint....

There isn't one specific spot, it's more like an area you hover over while in camera mode, so you can try different angles and stuff if you want to. But the HUD should really make it obvious when you are looking at the right area.
As shown in the blog, they are taking a picture of the Donner Lake photo op:

Thank You! That makes sense and I did see it like that in the Blog pic I just missed the "spot" when I actually took the photo. I was too busy trying to take a "cool pic" rather than the "right pic"
Now I know what needs to be done much obliged!

West of Austin along the Route 290 there is a little rest area, which unfortunately doesn't seem to work. Did anyone notice that, too? Is there a trick maybe?

Thanks, but I've tried that already - nothing! I should have recorded my parking attempts on this rather small parking area...

Montana had a lot of those as well, there's probably a perfect spot where you can rest but good luck finding it. :)

Sounds like a bug report type thingy then. I wish the sleep zones was the entire parking lot though. Makes it much much easier to deal with. If people park crazy or not, that shouldn't be the issue, let them. But not getting activations for sleep is annoying. I've had to totally skip some rest stops to find the next because of this issue. But I turned sleep off and only do it when I want to get to daylight driving so that I don't get sleep penalties. I sleep when I want for a reason now. I like watching the sun rise and set..........but not on new map dlc's. I only drive in the daylight with new map dlc's and this 1.46 will require a ton of daylight hrs of driving.
