So, in case you're wondering like I was in what states have ambient sounds,
it's WY/MT and Northern CA (rework) - and TX obviously.
It's a fantastic addition that I'm glad they decided to put in the work to do, makes the world feel much more lived in and real.
They should go back and add it to some of the newer DLC states like CO, UT & ID because man, does it make a big difference.

I am kinda disappointed, thought we gonna get the user interface option on those multimedia touch screens, at least a picture of it, not just a gps or black screen...

I found a "No Turn on Red" sign in the map editor on 1.46. I don't recall seeing this one before. It could maybe mean that SCS is working on a feature to prohibit turns on red at certain intersections.

That is new and really welcome to see! I remember us discussing that a while ago. With the number of intersections that still fine you for right on reds maybe this is why lol!

Looks like we also will get a box version of the Sterling Acterra: https://www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=285026#AddComment

@halbtollekreatur I saw a video of the Acterra flatbed but carrying some cable drums. So that's three variants for it.

I'm just concerned about the disappearance of Mercury Colony Park. I thought she was so nice, but she deserved a much lower spawn rate.

I like the new ambient sounds, but is it just me or are the crickets a bit too much? I expected more stuff like wind rustling trees and grass and birds chirping and distant plane sounds occasionally or whatever, but no matter where you are on the map or what time it is you can hear the same loop of crickets chirping when you're out in more rural areas. I'm not saying SCS should remove them entirely but it feels a bit exaggerated to hear them constantly all over the map during broad daylight.

It's a good first step but it also needs more diversity, since I've heard the same exact distant children (or whatever) sound every time I enter a city and it seems to repeat rather quickly. Can anyone tell me how these new ambient soundscapes work? Are they a single loop that contains every sound or is it a background sound loop that then has additional noises that play on top randomly?
I think trucks are cool.

I take back what I said about Mercury Colony Park. I just saw her in Yuma. Fortunately.
I'm glad SCS slowed her spawn rate and didn't discard her.
