Re: ATS 1.46 Discussion Thread
1. You can use any button to use the range or splitter function, or two buttons for both. After all that's how real world transmissions work. If your shifter doesn't have buttons (my G27's shifter has lots, the G25's doesn't have any), I'm sure you can find a tutorial on how to add them.
2. It's very easy to make a mod that gives you a 6 speed gearbox, in fact there may be one out there, just have to look for it.
I'd do that before I'd rage-give up on the whole game just because of that little detail that can be helped so easily...

There’s an H-shifter setup guide and shifting tutorial on Steam: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1215476496

Yes, on my G27 shifter when I had it, I assigned a button for split and a button for range. The Logitech easily goes thru all 18 gears.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Have you tried not assigning any key to the turn on / off GPS? I'm not sure if that works but iirc it does work like that for the wipers and lights, where if you only assign one key, you still have the cycle behavior.peno wrote: ↑17 Nov 2022 17:54 Tell me you didn't remove the option to turn the built-in GPS off by the key to change the GPS regiments? Please, tell me you didn't SCS! Sadly, I can't find the option to revert that keybind back to its original behaviour, so I am afraid you actually did, didn't you? Why, SCS, why are you doing this to us? I can't anymore. Just realise finally not everyone play this game on wheel and keyboard has only limited amount of keys to use, especially since you don't want to allow us shortcuts with Shift, Ctrl and/or Alt. So what's the point of introducing, new completely useless and nonsensical, but required keybind? I was mad enough with the suspensions in last update, though that at least did improve the game, in a way, but here we are, now I am being forced to find another key for something that is totally unnecessary and doesn't improve the game in any way. On the contrary, actually, it made the game more complicated for me.
Though I have to give you that the speed limit on WS 75X's dashboard does look cool. Now THAT was good addition to the game SCS.
Re: ATS 1.46 Discussion Thread
Today I had a marvellous ride from Coeur D'Alene to Houston (about 2200 miles) with my 57X (now at about 43k miles). I usually don't take that long trips, but this one looked great! (and it was!).
But I encountered a little annoyance. You can't repair trailers you don't own, right? So it came like it had to... Two weigh stations between Dallas and Houston made me an offer I couldn't refuse... I had repaired the truck before, but the trailer had 6% damage (wear only). So the moaning began... Fortunately I had (for various reasons) turned fines off years ago. But the message was annoying anyway! I don't want to know, what will happen, when we will be going from coast to coast one day. The trailer will have probably more than 10% wear only damage.
There should be a solution for this problem! Maybe the virtual owner of the trailer will pay for the repair? Would be easiest solution, I guess.
Otherwise: Great truck, great trip and Texas: FANTASTIC!!!

And that's my point. The added new and totally unnecessary button that is required without any option to revert back the original behaviour for those of us who don't want, or even can't add another keybind. That's just not right, say what you want.

Re: ATS 1.46 Discussion Thread
they added functionally to be more then just a GPS, this button is to cycle through pages and then turn it off, wich was not possible before that so no, it is not unnecessary, it was necessary all along so the display can be used as more then only a GPS screen

Re: ATS 1.46 Discussion Thread
Cycle through pages? What? Did you even play the game after the update? The only thing that button does is turning off the built-in GPS. Nothing more, nothing less. And that IS totally unnecessary, since that was previously already covered by the GPS cycle function. Now, I need new keybind JUST for that. And that's plain stupid, I am sorry.
