Read with understanding and then try to be smart***... "Whole DX11 stuff" as " everything that came after switch to DX11 api...and everything that came after it is half baked... SSAO? Half baked... SMAA? Not even that... Lighting? Ask tunnels how they doing...

But the point still stands, that has nothing to do with DX11 itself, but go on.

Also, the "problem" with the tunnels is implementing something that the game engine never had, is not that simple, anything related to lights is one of the hardest thing to deal with in any game engine.

You do realize this is the ATS side of the forum right? ETS2 is not the only game SCS makes. Why not say ATS/ETS2?

Iirc, SCS stated that if they knew they was going to DX12/Vulkan, why waste time fully implementing DX11. They just needed the transition from DX9 to DX11 as it was much easier to do than DX9 to DX12. They made a 1 stop flight instead of a direct flight.

oh, sorry. I play both games. While deciding to reply I didn´t realise I were on the ATS-only speculation thread.
But problems are graphically and performance related for me the same in both games.

Personal I use the https://roextended.ro/forum/viewtopic.p ... t=aliasing - workaround to get better AA. But I hope that some time in the future we will have this implemented in-game in ATS/ ETS2.

I know this is minor in the greater scheme of things that need fixed or added, but one thing I'd like to see them do is fix it so the traffic lights actually line up with the proper lanes. Most of the time the lights are all crammed to one side and the left turn signal ends up in front of the center lane. One intersection I was at (I can't remember where now) had one lane each way but two signal lights on the arm.

Real life, they don't always line up either though. The best way to see is go to Google Street view and check the intersection yourself. I once thought they all lined up too but they don't in real life all the time.

I hope that one day scs will correct the contrast in the game and the objects will not be too dark or too light. it is necessary to increase the contrast of midtones and reduce the contrast of extreme white and black. now the texture of the road and other materials is poorly visible due to this problem.

Well, this isn't an "ATS-Only" speculation thread. But since this is on the ATS forums, we mostly keep it towards ATS within this thread, as well as many other threads that are posted in this forum.

ETS2 has there own 1.47 speculation thread though in the ETS2 forums if you like to check it out.

SCS is not touching anything related to graphics right now and they will not fix anything on DX11 related to it. You will have to wait(just like everyone else) and need to see what happens when SCS releases DX12.

Max confirmed that here: viewtopic.php?p=1737223#p1737223

"it has ben stated more times that we are working on graphic changes.
it is just hell lot of work. for the same reason no bigger visible changes happened in last updates/years. it would be waste of time to make it for old system."
You can never make a miserable person who complains about everything happy. They live by "If I can't be happy then no one can be happy."

And I totally agree with Max. Makes zero sense to put time and effort into graphic under the current engine when they are on the verge of releasing an engine update. When, no telling but its in the works. I'm sure something graphics related is being baked into the first iteration of the engine upgrade.
