You can clearly see there are 3 historical plaques on the google image you posted, but they're missing in game.

Emmm.... if it should look like this - ok, but this place doesn t count in achievement. I actually thought should be plate with some historical text there, as in others historical markers. An i see 3 plates on google map

Yesterday I found this place too. Why is this topic marked as "not a bug"? Can we have any explanation, please?

This is how I see it:
First, there is a very clear sign in the game that says "Historical marker", pointing towards the parking area — but there is no marker there, nor does this place trigger the "Avid Historian" achievement, like it should have, if it really was a historical marker.
Second, as mentioned above, on Google Maps you can clearly see 3 plaques present at this location, and on the HMDB we can find that it is Site of Vinegarroon historical marker. But not in the game.

I think that either the pointing "Historical marker" sign should be removed from the game to avoid the confusion, or the actual plaque and the achievement-triggering marker should be added to the game. Either way, the consistency needs to be restored.
I would understand if this would be considered work in progress, or postponed, low-priority, or anything else. But why "not a bug"? It's so clearly a bug, because the game in its current state contradicts itself.

it is a blue sign, not a brown one, so yes not a bug but still confusing

also, from what i see every official historical marker has a number assigned to them, the one from the Google Maps link doesnt have one, so it is not an official one ?
