Never realized. And I think that there are very few with the mechanical odometer. It's a nice little touch!

Re: 90's Corporation Truck
Hey TheOtherCorey,
I've been really enjoying this truck, but i would like to edit some things, like the tint on the windscreen. It's a little too dark for driving at night in VR.
But i cannot unpack the .scs file, to edit things myself. Is there any special trick how you do that? I've been unpacking .scs files with 7zip, normally it just works. Can you give me a hint?
Thanks in advance!

Try using the scs extractor instead.

Re: 90's Corporation Truck
Alright, thanks a lot. I tried that before, but only with the extractor from the forum. The original scs extractor worked fine.
This helped to make some other mods that i use compatible with the truck, since i could see how it's organized.
Unfortunately, i simply cannot edit the windscreen to my liking. Messing around with blender, or whatever is needed is just too complicated for a one-time project like that, since i have no real interest in modelling more than this, which just bothers me. It's not that i haven't tried, but the learning curve is just too steep for me.
So, @TheOtherCorey , if you could edit the windscreen to be as tinted as the side windows, that would be so great! Maybe make it changeable, so that for everyone else it can stay like it is now. I noticed that the "pre-facelift" interior makes the windscreen a little less dark, so it could be possible to make it changeable with the complete interior?

Re: 90's Corporation Truck
Sorry I’m just now seeing this. It’s something I could change in an update, but these days I’m more or less just keeping the nod alive. The windshield tint is completely based on the scs values at the time I made the mod, so revisiting it may not be a bad idea.
Sorry for my english, I'm american.

Thats alright, don't worry. I'm glad you responded anyways. With the new DLC approaching, i would love to see this "fixed" or let's say improved, because it feels a bit different than the other trucks. But i also can completely understand if your interests are somewhere else at the moment. Still, i would highly appreciate it!
Anyways, i really don't get why this truck is not mentioned more often on some "best truck mods" videos or lists.. in my opinion its a very detailed truck, especially the two different interieurs!

I have no idea. Hahaha. It was in a few videos when I released it. But I come across a post from a random facebook group and I see people still using it or changing things up to their liking it melts my heart.

Re: 90's Corporation Truck
Hey Corey, i'm still circling around that problem with the windscreen tint. unfortunately i cannot fix it for me. I tried with the help of google gemini, since my modding skills are limited. Could not make it work though.
For me the problem is quite major, because i drive in vr, and sometimes at night, depends on how all the deliveries work out. Unfortunately with all the settings and mods to make vr as realistic as possible, the dark windscreen tint makes it impossible to see at night, and makes daydriving feel kinda off.
So i would love to see you adress that problem in a future update! Removed - Rule 2.3 I just love your truck, but cannot really use it how i would like to.
Best wishes, looking forward to your answer, whenever you get to it!

Re: 90's Corporation Truck
I just included this truck (actually trucks) in my "Real Good Headlights for Modded Trucks" mod. You can find the mod on Steam here:

However, good headlights are still no good when you can't see through the windshield at night. So, I added this truck to my "Truck Fixes" mod. In the Discussion section for my Real Good Headlights mod, you will find more info on Truck Fixes. Here is a link to the discussion about Truck Fixes and how to obtain it:
https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/fil ... 445770951/
In Truck Fixes, I removed the excess tint from the interior view through the windshield so you can see better at night. I also removed the extra tint from the outside view of the windshield. You can see into the cab from the outside now. And, I added one more fix. I adjusted the backlight on the gps screen so that you can read the speed limit at night.
This is a very good truck, it is even better now if you apply the above two mods for it.
