I'm eagerly expecting professional moaners coming to say the "map is a corridor" when that DLC releases if it's something similar to oldmanclippy's guess.

It will remember me what happened with Italy DLC. How nostalgic.

Well, mostly, it is as much corridor driving as the Montana DLC :)

Evil_Jason, that area in your picture, is good for 2 map DLC's.

Just for fun, I've used a population mapping tool to find out how many people live in the areas of Norway, Sweden and Finland that are currently represented in ETS2.

These are the estimated that I found:

In Norway, 59% of the people live in the area currently in ETS2.
In Sweden, 76% of the people live in the area currently in ETS2.
In Finland, 58% of the people live in the area currently in ETS2.

It speaks to the imagination that the majority of territory for each of these countries isn't there (and could be added by the North Scandinavia expansion, although I think Finland won't be included anyway) but only a minority of the people lives there.

In fact, I'm surprised that the number for Finland isn't higher... Apparently, 2 out of 5 Finnish people don't live in the far south area that we have in BtBS. Slightly less centralized than I expected.

(No, this is not useful information in any way... Just wanted to check it out for fun :))

If you had asked me to guess based off of intuition, I would have guessed that Norway has the highest proportion of its population currently represented, followed by Sweden, and finally Finland (meaning I would have guessed that Finland had the smallest proportion of its population currently represented, which is true). So the number for Norway is surprising to me.

Norway has one thing Sweden doesn't have. Fiords. Being a great tourist destination all along the coast, brings citizens to live there as a source of potential income.

Norway is still missing some of the (relatively) big cities like Trondheim, Tromsø and Ålesund. Also, the area just north of Oslo with cities like Hamar and Lillehammer.

Ans yeah, in general people live near the coast. Norway has a lot of coast :)

Those cities will most likely appear in the new DLC
