Re: Hard to find long jobs
I believe that this noise here has had an effect. Because since Texas was released we were looking for this job, and recently, about 2 weeks ago, we were looking for this job daily. And after the creation of that topic and an e-mail that a friend sent to WoTr support our prayers were answered! Thanks SCS guys.

Re: Hard to find long jobs
I got this one a while ago. It's good to know that this topic made SCS change the load. Now try to find this new cargo.

Re: Hard to find long jobs
There is no evidence whatsoever that SCS made any changes, the load has always been theoretically possible and it's just happened to finally show up for a couple of people.
Also given that WOT jobs are shared and there's potentially many people looking for this job, remember that as soon as 1 person takes it, it disappears for everyone else again.

Re: Hard to find long jobs
I've already spent 4 hours looking for this job, when I update the wot page several times and the job persists, we know that there are no other people looking for it.
It may be that SCS has no influence (which I don't believe) but as Reis said, it was only after this topic was opened, email to support was sent that the work appeared, I want to believe that SCS solved the problem and that It's not negative, but rather positive. We are a group of dozens of players who enjoy distant jobs and only now after reports on this topic did the load appear.
Happy New Year to everybody.

Re: Hard to find long jobs
It would be nice if they kept the longest job possible for each city as a permanent job.
(maybe not relevant, for IA drivers seems to go to the farthest city most of the time)
Not sure how hard that could be to do ... or if this may be like an option from World of Truck profile's preferences.
I have spent hours choosing and abandoning jobs in WoW, trying to get these longest jobs, without any success.
Or an in-game option to create a job from current location to any given city as the destination.

Re: Hard to find long jobs
The more you bias the system towards particular jobs the harder it becomes to find others, so someone somewhere is going to be unhappy however you do it. For me the only way to 'solve' the issue is to allow players to make requests of the invisible 'dispatcher' for jobs to a particular city or better still a particular depot with those requests being taken into account each time a job is generated from the location of the requestor in the desired distance band but if you are going to do that then you might as well add a 'self-dispatch' function and let players choose their own jobs.
Cheers, Steve

You hit the bulls eye!
That's what my friends and I have been saying for years here on the forum. To solve the problem of long jobs once and for all, this would be the permanent solution. Add a 'Job Generator' (Trucksbook call it TB Dispatcher, so, WoTr can call WoTr Dispatcher) within the game so that the player can choose the city and company they want to go... of course, with the correct type of job/cargoe that exists for the trailer/company...
EDIT:
Looking for some old news in the SCS's blog I found that:

[ external image ]
Starting City one button, Destination City other button, Owned Trailer other button, and that goes on...
So... SCS have 'half' tool in hands... it shouldn't be difficult to add some buttons here and here to 'generate' a Job 'x' from company Y to company Z and in the game the magic happens and u can see the job and do it... Please @morrelo @DisgruntledTrucker take a look here and help us, WoTr players (#BestCommunityEver too)...
