Howdy everyone, I am creating this thread as a place to discuss/showcase some of the best free mods this community has created. There are a ton of great mods out there across several different locations so this thread should help members both new and old to discover some great mods. This thread is also a great place to discuss Load Order, Mod Compatibility, etc. I personally run about 90 mods in my main career profile and basically, all are free. I will be listing my favorite mods below by category. The list will be kept updated to the best of my ability. I encourage everyone to join the discussion below. Enjoy!

Any mod in red has become incompatible with the most recent updates or is noticeably out of date. If anyone has been following Allen Rezbilt (the creator of the Rezbilt 389) on Steam you will know that he has been building a similar truck using the Kenworth W900. Well, it was released to the public on the Steam Workshop on 1/16/2023, so I decided to check it out.

The Rezbilt 389 is one of my favorite trucks and have been using it since I started playing ATS over a year ago. It was built using the model of the standard SCS 389 and creating tons of custom parts for it using Blender as well as enhancing the chrome parts to be much more realistic. Rezbilt's W900 was created in a very similar way. While there are not as many customization options available for the W900 as Rezbilt's 389, I suspect this will change as the mod continues to be updated. That being said the mod is perfectly acceptable in its current state and a great option for a highly customizable W900.

As far as compatibility goes, the Rezworth W900 is only compatible with Smarty's Wheel Pack and SiSL's Mega Pack from what I can tell so far. None of the engine/transmission packs that I run were compatible. This mod is also not compatible with any of the SCS truck customization DLCs thus far. However, I suspect that will change as the truck continues to be updated because the Rezbilt 389 is compatible with several mod packs and DLCs.

I would add mods from HFG to this list. All the free mods on Trucky are fantastic, including the 3XX, which gets you pretty much any 3-series Peterbilt from the 90's. The trailers are all really nice as well, some of the best free dump trailers in the game, IMO.

Speaking of Trucky, I would add Recon Lobster's Montana map work including the farm/ranch rework.

Just scrolled through some of the HFG projects and wow it looks like they have some great stuff. I'll definitely have to check them out in-game

@Carfreak200 what about the k100e by overfloater? It's an excellent addition. Also I'd warmly suggest Dielingwu's Mack R series and the Superliner V2. Both free on his gumroad store. Cheers mate!

I have been enjoying the Kenworth T680 Next Gen by WARRYOR3D. Its on the workshop.
Also Weather 2.5 graphics mod by dirceu junior. (Workshop)

BTW, is that Classic XL mod legit? I tend to avoid the third party mod sites but that is a truck I'm interested in.
