Back then the huge amount of trucks was because they were all fake brands. Biggest reason SCS had issues early for ATS in getting licenses. They are doing it the right way now.
Fake brands is one thing but 3D models back then were also quite low poly and easy to produce in mass quantities, while current models need to have way more attention to detail.

But yes, SCS obviously prioritizes trucks that are in production (and this is their choice, because there are games that have licenced classic trucks - Farming Sim '22 has a classic Mack and 1980s Volvo F16, while Snowrunner has classic Freightliners, Internationals and Western Stars so - contrary to what some people say - there are companies that are willing to licence classic trucks)

^Yes I am aware of other games game having classics in them. Main reason why I made the "out of production truck thread". If you use the link in my signature, I even mentioned those games that you just did and even stated its not on manufacturers, its SCS. Lots of things you may think your are teaching me, I've already covered multiple times over the past few years. You can always use the search feature and you will find I've commented a lot in the ATS threads on many relevant topics in which you are only repeating when they've been covered. I'm not trying to be mean but your are trying to teach me what's already been covered.

@matt1982. I never said no to COE, I was explaining 18WoS is not SCS game is all I was explaining. Its definitely possible SCS can bring a COE to ATS. If you used the search engine and searched my name on how many times I brought up the K100, you'd fid out that its probably the one truck I'd love to see in ATS more than anything which includes in production trucks. There are 41 pages dating back to 2017 in which I've type the word K100. search.php?st=0&sk=t&sd=d&sr=posts&keyw ... 0&start=50. I've talked about the K100 a lot. I've even typed the keyword "COE" quite a few times. search.php?keywords=COE&terms=all&autho ... mit=Search. So trust me, I definitely advocate cabovers in ATS.

When the 589 makes it into ats, I may get it in a daycab but not with the sleeper.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.

@flight50
I know you're aware, this was directed at people arguing that "SCS cannot licence classic trucks because manufacturers will licence only new trucks", I've seen this quite a lot, so decided to mention the licenced classic trucks in other games before someone will bring this (obviously wrong) argument.

Others have more money, so there are more opportunities. The SCS, as I understand it, has a slightly different approach. Therefore, and due to the fact that we only get modern tracks (I do not count 9900 and 5700), this assumption is rather correct.
