I've actually wondered if at some point the hood mirror resolution could be separately adjusted from the main mirrors since they are physically farther away and smaller to help with performance (unless they already render at less resolution than the mains).

I thought the TrackIR 5 about a few months ago, tried it with ATS, and get a bit of motion sickness too. And I was quite excited when I got the TrackIR as well. Shame I couldn't use it, but oh well...

He is going to buy trackir 5 but no point if it is still going to make him a headache, etc. His 2 opinions ever drive with no ui mirrors or put up with frame loss.

What I do is control the head movement in game using my mouse, or 3 keybinds bound to my wheel. It is my way, and works best for me. If your friend has a steering wheel, tell them to do that.

I get motion sickness too but TrackIR is great with me. You can slow down the movement to your liking. I also take breaks more often and don't play as many hrs either. I am not sure about this new bump system though. That and TrackIR might mess me up so I have it disabled for now.

I've read this somewhere but not sure if it's true, do the mirrors only affect performance when you can actually see them? For example if I have hood mirrors, but have FOV set to where I can't see the side mirrors, would it be the same as having no hood mirrors but having FOV set to be able to see driver's side mirrors?

An out of screen mirror is not rendered at all. So, basically yes.
I have approximate knowledge of many things

I have been hitting collisions during my drives at various places on the map which is causing major damage to truck, trailer and cargo. Today I investigated and found 1.47 has collisions on bushes that don't seem to be there on 1.46, some of which are on terrain under the road. The below images were taken in -pure editors near Huron, CA and show the collisions in the road on 1.47 (green vertical boxes).

Anybody else had this issue?
