SCS should rethink that though, because Going East is just as bad as unreworked base game areas and unlike UK it is hard to avoid. UK rework done first wouldn't benefit the game map as a whole nearly as much as Czech or Poland rework would. Also it would be weird to rework just the base game part of Czech Republic or Poland and leaving Going East parts for later.

Also UK has map scale issues so in order to rescale it it would have to be done in one large rework, unlike Going East that can be done in a smaller phases

Well, you're not going to make them change their mind, that was very clear by Pavel, the CEO of SCS, first the base map and then the DLC's and i'm sure "DLC's" includes the base map area connected to those DLC's, they already have their plan mapped and doesn't matter how much a few people complain about it, it will probably not change anything

And i know Pavel also said he wants the team to be big enough to tackle the whole UK in a single update, but in 2 years the rebuild team could be big enough to do it and probably release it in 2025.

As far as we know Switzerland could be already done and in the final testing stages and one part of the team could be already working into the next rebuild that will most likely be Benelux while another part of the team finishes the cities in Germany.

The point of complaining is to change the mind - if majority of the playerbase will demand to have Central Europe reworked before the UK then the plan should probably be changed. Benelux is almost certain the be the next rework after Switzerland but anything further should be a topic to debate because it is hard to argue that UK rework would be more beneficial to the map than a Central Europe rework (unless someone has no map DLCs at all). UK is a nice country but unfortunately it is also too remote an too disconnected from the mainland Europe.
Why players delivering cargo from Baltic DLC to Western Europe should be forced to drive through the outdated map of Central Europe for another 3-4 years just because UK happens to be base game and Going East is DLC?
There aren't any solid arguments for reworking UK before Central Europe other than being part of the base game (and even then - Czech Republic and Poland are also partially base game map countries).

I think SCS should do the community poll what should be reworked earlier - Czech Republic & Poland or the UK.

:lol: a "community poll" won't change anything, there is a good reason why SCS has never done something like that, they know very well the "#BestCommunityEver", they already have their plan.

Funnily enough, the last poll showed that UK is the most requested one :lol:
Either way, those polls will do nothing because getting 50 votes in a playerbase made of hundreds of thousands of players is really nothing. And this whole thing was beaten to death in countless threads already.
And neither of these areas will be done in 1.48 which is what this thread is about btw.

fact is the UK is besides Germany and Austria the oldest parts of the map, and those should have priority before anything else, that Switzerland, and possible BeNeLux after, gets reworked is only because the team is building to be a size where the UK can be reworked in one go (and most likely rescaled but who knows) so no, GE shouldnt be touch at all until the oldest parts of the game are gone for good, whiche are Germany (already partially done and they did go back to it), Austria (already done) and UK (which will be done when the team is sufficient big enough)

@Aziz @JoeAlex23
I mean a blog post poll (and since blog posts are also visible in the Steam newsfeed it would have a much much wider range than some forum poll)

@xXCARL1992Xx
Going East isn't any better than the UK - it uses exactly the same textures, the same prefabs, the same "connect a few roads and throw some landmarks in the background" city design.
If that DLC was some major breakthrough in map quality like Scandinavia was then I would agree that it should be reworked after UK because it is newer. But Going East is just as bad, there's no reason to treat it like it's some kind of better quality map because it is not.

nobody cares, SCS decided and the oldest parts will be reworked, the UK is 13 years old, GE is only 10 years old, doesnt matter if it looks the same or not it will be done, and schould be done, before any DLC is touched

Except it does matter that it looks exactly the same. By that line of thinking UK should be reworked before Switzerland or Benelux because it is 13 years old while Switzerland and Benelux are "only" 11 years old.

maybe you should start listening to what other say and turn of your logic, it was said the team has to be big enough to get it out within a year in one go, the team isnt big enough so they go for the smaller countries (Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg) and when they are done, the team should have a considerable size to tackle the UK (hopefully with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, Ireland would be a big bonus also) and throw it out within ~ a years time
