My mistake, I thought we had 4 map teams, I was confused by the fact that Iowa, Louisiana, Illinois and South Dakota are currently in development

The Iowa team is going to move on to South Dakota after the Iowa DLC releases.

But let’s not get off topic too much here and not attract the ire of the mods.

We do have 4 map teams
Iowa (South Dakota)
Louisiana
Illinois
Reworks (base map)

There are only 3 paid map dlc's teams. Now there could be more in development with all the new hires but officially only those 4 teams above. Just because a new state has been announced, that doesn't mean its a new map team. It means their current project is wrapping up and some of that team can move over to start preliminary work on their task in the new dlc.

So I was looking at the map of Chicago that was revealed with the new ATS trailer and I realized something, it looks like we might be able to go along the riverfront through Wacker Dr to Lakeshore Dr

IIRC, oldmanclippy already figured that out, but it's very exciting nonetheless. It'll for sure give Chicago one of the most interesting and scenic road networks in a city.

I just rewatched the Blues Brothers (extended edition, of course) last night, and man, I hope PRT could some day add a 1974 Dodge Monaco (with a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks, and a weathered Mt. Prospect Police Department paint job), because that would be perfect for exploring Chicago (either that or a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spider, but the Dodge seems more realistic). Even if that doesn't happen, there should be loads of Blues Brothers references in the game; as I understand it, that movie has a huge cult following in Chicago, and is just a solid movie on its own merit.

Ikr. Chicago's skyline would be one of the best in the entire game. Even better is seeing it from 2 different sides of the city. Lakeshore has been highly requested and Wacker is epic. So we are in for a treat.

Ah ok, I was thinking someone might've posted it about it already, but I just wanted to make a post about it just in case. Though now that I think about it, it does make me wonder how well Chicago is going to run in terms of performance seeing as we're going to be going through the downtown area of Chicago, I'm hoping they'll figure something out because that would be a massive shame if Wagner Dr gets cut from the final DLC.

I'm thinking Chicago will use the same process Los Angeles uses, since they're the second and third largest cities in the country.

Brothergun, that's how I interpret the map too.
Lower Wacker Drive, etc -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multileve ... in_Chicago well, part of them?
Maybe made similar to how the Underground depots in Missouri are done?
