Slightly choppy Steering Animation / Rotational Camera Thrustmaster T248

Hello guys, I found some time and got back into ETS2. Since that's the only sim I am playing, I just got myself a cheap Thrustmaster T248.

The problem is:

When driving and turning the wheel, the steering wheel animation feels slightly choppy (just like that gear driven wheel does, already thinking about getting rid of it again and get myself something belt driven again ...). So does the rotational camera, too.

It's definitly not an FPS issue, I never drop below 100fps and I am using a 170hz screen. Happens with and without mods. I am not using any physics mod or FFB Plugins. Other than that, the game runs absolutely smooth.

If I plug in and use my PS5 controller, this problem does not exist.

Any ideas how to solve that annoying problem?
