Title launches to black screen and crashes back to desktop.

Issue did not occur on any previous 1.48.5.x beta build. No OS package updates were done prior to this issue occurring, 1.48.5.45 public_beta was fully functional.

For yours, there's a possibility that this is caused by a mod.

00:00:01.126 : <ERROR> [material] Error parsing material file '/material/custom/player_tag.mat'.

Not 100% sure, hopefully a beta tester or dev can confirm.

Thanks for that, with an otherwise clean log it seems to be an issue with OpenGl only.
Now need a beta tester or dev to verify.

If your guess is true, do you think there's something that can be changed in the Steam and/or OS settings to have it fixed?
Or is the only option to wait for a code side fix?

Technically you might be able to fix it by editing the mat file or regenerating it through blender. But SCS need to fix it for everyone.

Could you expand a little bit? I can't seem to even find a player_tag.mat file or even /material/custom/ folder.

I was unable to find those in any of the following folders:

.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2 (this is where game.log.txt is located)
.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Euro Truck Simulator 2 (this is the folder that opens when I click Installed Files > Browse from the game's properties in Steam)
.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Euro Truck Simulator 2 (this is where the game files are)

I also did a system wide search of player_tag.mat or material and didn't find anything. I'm totally lost

You'd need to extract it from scs.base (or the file it's in if not the base).
