Sorry, i meant to say External Contracts instead of External Market, and External Market instead of Cargo Market, dumb me.

But i think you didn't really understood what i said, i'm ONLY and ONLY talking about World of Trucks jobs, i'll try to explain it a little bit better.

As you know, External Contracts = the game/company provides you the trailer, and, External Market = you use your own trailer.

So, for example, you go to a city, you open the External Contracts page and you see some jobs for a flatbed trailer, but then you say "nah, i want to use my own trailer", so, you attach your own trailer and open the External Market page on the same city, the jobs you see for your own flatbed trailer are the same exact jobs you saw for the External Contracts but using your own trailer instead of a company provided one, they are shared, that means the pool of jobs is even smaller than you might think, the point is, is all a mess.

Easily solved with a WoTr jobs generator.

With an eyes from developer, I have no idea how difficult it is to create a WoTr jobs generator... But in the eyes of a regular World of Trucks fan, I and a few hundred thousand other people would love to have this tool in their hands as soon as possible... but the fact is that if there is a Jobs Generator for Trucksbook and other apps, it shouldn't be impossible to professional dev's from SCS do that.

I think i said it before. They could make all the jobs available anytime. That way they don't need to delete and regenerate them every minute. The current system even generates the same job in the same list even 2-3-4 times concurrently. Some would say that it's not realistic, but it would solve these problems until a better WOTR is made.

The problem is that doing something like that will probably hammer down the WoT servers and make the game perform worse trying to keep up with so many jobs.

Why? The jobs are cached (maybe even locally since it will have all the available variations possible). They won't need to generate them randomly anymore. For me it looks like it will have more static information.

I'm not sure that that is as straightforward as you think it is, especially as a simple interpretation of that request would generate close to 4,500 jobs from some depots (let alone all of the depots in a particular location) and even a more measured approach might be a couple of hundred per depot. Either way it is going to be horribly unwieldy in an interface that shows five jobs per screen.

The job generation process in the two scenarios is completely different. For Cargo Market jobs there are ten seeds per depot and thus you will see from zero to ten jobs for each which change according to the attached trailer. For External jobs there seem to be somewhere between three and six slots per depot for each distance band which are randomly filled with cargo and target depot from the list of all possible such combinations in the distance band. For some (most?) trailers this will result in very few jobs for any particular target depot. Of course it could work differently, but as things stand comparing the two is like comparing chalk and cheese.

Also, specific cargo is very rare in external market. Trying to do the olive/olive oil deliveries or the marble ones and can barely find any. That's not an issue on the job market.

90% of the jobs at any Rock Eater Quarry are Volvo utility vehicles from the DLC. Same happens in ATS. I have to do most achievement related jobs using the job market..

Expecting to do the achievements using WoT is a lost cause, don't waste your time with that, i talk from experience, not worth losing your mind like that.

Okay so the scale of the problem is enormous actually and I hope whoever takes care of WOTR reads this.

The job generation system is in complete imbalance and there's no logic to it, period.
Look, I'm in Kavala, looking for a job. WOTR job because I want to complete the event. Here's what is offered:
20241211202240_1.jpg
Twenty Two yachts. You quickly learn that they are not being spawned until you take the job, because if you fly over to the depot in question...
20241211202344_1.jpg
There's one, and it's the one from internal market. So my earlier thought about WOTR not being able to generate too many trailers so that depots don't get clogged and replace internal job trailers goes to hell. They're just numbers until you hit accept.

Onwards we head to those shops and whatnot that offer only junk.
20241211203225_1.jpg
Fourteen. And I'm sure a Posped distribution center in London or Renar in Estonia need used cardboard boxes from Greek town, they definitely don't have more local sources, right?

And I wonder, why the huge distribution centers with large warehouses and whatnot... you know, those:
20241211203129_1.jpg
Offer a whopping FOUR jobs for the most popular kind of trailer in existence, the box one?
20241211202922_1.jpg
Aside from that there's two frozen products, four kinds of liquid in tankers, some gravel and a set of forklifts. You'd think that a warehouse in a mildly popular tourist destination would have their hands full with actually usable products, but it turns out it's some yachts that would never all fit in such a tiny depot.

So to put it in few simple words.
WAREHOUSES. NEED. MORE. CARGO.
Because that's what they're for damn it. And it's what makes the economy. Not trash, and not some rich people's toys.

I'VE GOT IT GUYS

Managed to get it down to two jobs generated for box trailer in Kavala! And it's all junk!

And when it generated some back to 8 or whatever, it was of course more junk.

VIVA LA WOTR
