1.40.4.8 Setup On A Cheap Lenovo Laptop [NOT A BUG]

It seems odd to me that the lighting issues in this version have never been addressed since this is the last non steam version, but I can't really say I'm surprised. But I found a way around it, sort of. In the Developer Console I was looking for how to activate the Free Camera mode (Still haven't figured that out...) and I found on the upper left corner of the screen something that apparently used to test colors or something. There is a button there to turn it off. That switches the time to Noon, and everything looks normal like it did in 1.34, which was used to before being in the hospital forced me to start using this laptop. But that cuts off after awhile. Is there a way to turn it on permanently?

And while I am talking about the console, how do you activate the Free Camera in this version? All this is very different that 1.34...

You press 0 (zero) for free camera. Wasn't always like this?

I believe so, yes. And numpad 3 and 9 to move up and down, arrows to move forward and mouse wheel to change speed, F9 to land, etc. But it ain't working. Hence the questions as to how to do it...
I think it's a way to see if a cheap laptop can fly, as in out the freekin' window. I hate this thing sometimes... It has so many stupid quirks.

DId you enable developer in the config.cfg, right?

Yeah, I did. However, the problem was my memory once again. I've played ETS2 almost daily for 9 and a half years, and have probably used the free camera millions of times. But diabetic comas mess up your memory, as does not doing something you used to do all the time. From January 6th until April 11th, I was in three different hospitals, and had no computer. Just a cell phone I had no idea how to use, thus no ETS2... The coma also zapped 70% of my strength, and when I got out of the hospital, my guitar playing was awful. It was atrocious sounding, even with a new computerized guitar amp.

Anyway, I finally figured out the mistake I was making. I was opening the console, and then pressing zero... And as you know, that isn't how you do it. And while this laptop actually does have a number of extremely annoying quirks, this wasn't one of them. So for now I have avoided seeing if it will fly out the window...
