Blog RSS Feed not updating

I keep up to date on the blog posts by RSS, but I've noticed the last couple blog entries haven't updated. I'm using this link for my feed: https://blog.scssoft.com/feeds/posts/default which redirects to https://feeds.feedburner.com/ScsSoftwaresBlog and the most recent entry is from the Kansas DLC release, but there have been two more posts since that entry. I'm not sure if this is intentional, or if there's an issue somewhere, but I thought I should bring it up.

Now it's the same problem. Last feedburner post is about Renault E Tech, while 4 more came out on the website

Might be to do with Google's default Feedburner or something. Blogspot is owned by Google, so yeah...

Now, I did do a quick test (because I use the RSS feed in a couple Discord channels for news and stuff) and I'm getting the same problem. Whether or not this will continue to work, I can not say, but it's worth a try for anyone having problems with the default RSS feed link:

First, go here: https://feedburner.google.com/ - You'll need to verify your account with Google if you have one set up already. Otherwise, you might need to create one. I'm not sure. I already have a Google Account due to an Android device and other things, so that's what I'm work with right now.

Second, you'll need to create a proxy, so do so. For the URL to use, I used the following: https://blog.scssoft.com/feeds/posts/default - it'll then create a proxy link. Use that proxy link and double check what news is in the list. It should be updated with the current post as of the time of posting. If so, update any scripts or bots using the default link with the new proxy link. You can customize the proxy link a bit if one wants, but should be fine. If it auto updates, awesome. If not, then I don't know at the moment. Just something I tried on a whim.

Thank you @TwinShadow - that method worked for me for an updated feed. I'm also using the RSS feed for a Discord channel via Zapier, so I'll update the URL there with the new proxy and see what happens. Won't know until the next post, but I'll do my best to remember to give an update when that happens.

@TwinShadow Thanks again for the tip about the Feedburner proxy - it's working well! Today's post about the California Rework came through on my Discord channel exactly the same as with the previous URL.

Nice that it's working. I hadn't had a chance to get back to this to update my bot (since I don't use public bots) and I recently spent time with Fae when he rolled through my area. I was going to, but sorta forgot and got occupied with something else. Guess I got a little bit of work to do.

I wish I had read this thread about two weeks ago.

I just followed the instructions to create a proxy link, so hopefully it will work the next time SCS publishes a blog.

It worked for me on my bot when SCS posted something new when I put in the new proxy. I actually kept the default RSS link on another server because I forgot to change it, and of course it decided to do a big update and post the last 7 articles, and it eventually posted the new one. lol

I'll be leaving it like that anyway since it worked out as a test of the two different feeds. The proxy one updated a little bit slower apparently, but it worked good enough so far, so I'm just waiting for another post or two and then make my decision there.
