The full list of Euro-5 engines for Scania Next Generation currently looks like this: 380 (P/G/R/S), 440 (P/P XT/G/G XT/R/R XT/S), 450 (P/P XT/ G/G XT/ R/R XT/ S), 500 (G/G XT/R/R XT/S/S XT), 520 V8 (R/R XT/S/S XT), 560 V8 (R/R XT), 620 V8 (R/R XT/S/S XT), 770 V8 (R/R XT/S/S XT).

Please return the icons with the letter S in front for the S series (S 520, S 560...). In the last update, you removed these icons for some reason.(

I've had a look through the history of the mod, and basically the mod only came with badges for two engines per truck when TheNuvolari made it. I made complete sets of badges for the P, G, R, and *current* S, and skipped over the pre-changeover S, leaving only the two engines that were already in the mod - which were only the S650 and S730.

Also, adding the badges for the Euro 5 engines doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now without a mod that adds those engines to the truck, which Galimim's currently doesn't. There are already over a hundred badges that can't be filtered due to the way they're added to the truck (which I can't fix without making edits to Eugene's truck).

I know exactly how I'd go about it too, but it's Eugene's mod and I'm not modifying it to redistribute without permission.

Basically, the cab.pmg needs locators in the grille for the engine and XT badges, and then defs need to be written for the engine badges with "suitable_for[]: xt_bumper" and "suitable_for[]: engine name" so the dots activate only when the XT bumper is on there and only shows the badges for the current engine. No need to actually add overrides so it defaults to empty.

But that's a matter for when Eugene is able to come back to work on the mod, because even if he was willing to give me permission to maintain it I wouldn't be able to keep up.

btw , how about making transmission files with characteristics like traction axles (traction axles are installed on special equipment trucks , like scania xt) they work at high RPM , at low truck speed , unlike high-speed axles on regular trucks (curtain, refrigerated transportation)

No, the high chassis mod is a separate mod from the XT package, but the problem is that after I got beta access to the next version of the PGRS mod early last year, I switched the base of the high chassis mod to the new version in preparation for its release... and then the release never happened. So I don't have an old version of the high chassis mod anymore (because I forgot to save one); and I can't release the new one because it's pointing at stuff that isn't in the current release of the PGRS mod.

On top of that, there are some fundamental problems with the high chassis mod itself that makes it hard to use. For one, the high chassis is *so high* that you can't get the fifth wheel under a trailer normally, you basically have to connect an owned trailer at the garage to make your truck respawn with the trailer attached. And I don't know how to modify trailers to work properly with it. Another problem is that the huge construction truck wheels are from some mod I found through a youtube video back in 2018, and I have no idea who made them or who to contact for permission to include them. And yet another problem is that in order to use those huge wheels, I ideally would need to make bigger front wheel arches, and that's beyond my skill.

So, sadly the high chassis project is on ice. I'd have to redo a bunch of the work from scratch if I wanted to release a version for the current release of the PGRS mod, and I will probably need to redo a bunch of stuff if Eugene does release the next version if he's done basically anything to it since I talked to him last. And I have a *feeling* that Eugene won't bother updating the mod until SCS releases *their* update for the Scania.

Dear Winchester1979. Please add 2 engine icons for the XT - 440 and 620 V8 to your mod. All the necessary transmissions and engines have long been in the modification from Eugene. You only need to add 2 icons - 440 and 620 V8. Thank you for earlier.

OK, so because SCS announced that they're working on updating the Scania NG; and because they've been including the heavy duty bumper options for all of the recent full releases of trucks (MAN TGX 2020, DAF NGD, Volvo FH4/5/6 - not Iveco *yet*, but that's still in a limited release with only one chassis); I've decided to hold off further development on this mod until we know whether the Scania update will contain an SCS-made XT bumper. Given that it's been highly requested by the community since the things were first shown back in 2017 or 18, I think there's a pretty good chance - and if they do, then working on this mod is basically wasted effort.

So, right now I'm waiting to see what's in the update. If there's an XT bumper, great - I'll see what I can do about modifying the bullbars contained in this pack to match their bumper when it comes out, and adding slots to them. If there isn't an XT bumper, I'll start working on this again for a bit.
