The modern X-Com franchise is a bottomless pit of hours dedicated to either:
- The joy of eradicate an alien invasion in the most perfectly way possible (in the normal mode with save and reload)
- The most painful self-inflicted masochism (in the iron-man mode with no reload possible)

As I didn't wanted to experience the second at all, I dedicated the time to grind the 100% map exploration in ETS2. Go figure.

About upcoming games, frankly, no idea. I rather let time distill the good ones and wash all the garbage that's published every year.

I like to play BeamNG.drive a lot, however with each update my computer is worse and worse at running it. I might get a new PC in the near future, but it's not really set in stone, so until then, I won't be able to fully enjoy it.
I also like the game Besiege for the building, however I just find that I'm not really motivated to build things anymore. I have like 20 projects, some of which I started years ago, that will most likely never be finished.
I'm also a big fan of the GTA franchise, though I've only played PC releases of 2, 3, VC, SA, 4, and 5. The OG 3D era games are my favourites by far, but I also like the story mode of 5 (attempted to play online once, I never touched it afterwards), 4 is just meh to me, though most GTA fans would crucify me for that. 2 is a fine game too, but way too hard for me, though I'm gen Z, so I grew up with newer titles.
I also like The Binding of Isaac, which is basically the only non-vehicle related game I play, though after 1300 hours I am burnt out a bit.
The biggest problem with me, is that I'm really reluctant to try out games that I haven't played before, as I know that "the classics" like ETS/ATS, TBoI, etc. are always there are guaranteed to entertain me. And I often times take guaranteed (though possibly somewhat dull, and uninspiring) entertainment, than the unknown...

Well, theres this new game called Star Trucker soon to come. Raptor showed a preview of it on youtube.

CB is interactive. Big plus that.

Its a little different than either Truck sim game... Being in space.

Also has survival elements to it as well.

Looks very interesting.

I'm currently playing some very different games... Snowrunner on one hand to Victory Belles and World of Warships on the other...

We know of Snowrunner, but Victory Belles is.... wait for it... Another Ship girl game. Yes, I'm that kind of person. But VB is a Mobile only game, need an android emulator to run it on pc. It only came out last year.

World of Warships is what I prefer to call a coop/comp multiplayer experience with Ships.

Ultimate Admiral Dreadnaughts is like above, but single player, and you can basically build your own navy to rule the seas.

Most of these are on Steam or will be.

Show trucks are working trucks, they simply do the same job in a slightly more noticeable and stylish fashion.

Well, that's the games on my PC right now.

Of course ATS and ETS are on my favorites, together with Age of Empires 2, a game i play since 2006 in my first computer, i bought the HD Edition and also the Definitive Edition, i enjoy a lot play with some friends challenging the IA.

War Thunder i play ocassionally, but i have some stuff from the 60's in the Swedish line of ground vehicles, i kinda love those swedish vehicles, currently i'm playing with the Swedish version of the Centurion Mk10 and researching the finnish T-55.

Transport Fever it's a cool game, managing trucks, trains and other transport vehicles. It's a good concept of a game and you can have fun in the free mode for several hours or play the campaign missions.

There is also other games such as BF2042 that i bought to play with some friends from my work, Regiments and Broken Arrows are in the RTS category and i kinda like those because you can control some Cold War and modern stuff from several armies, they are very similar to Wargame Red Dragon, which is a game i used to play a lot in the past with friends.

Train Sims are also something i'm into, relaxing gameplay and wonderful machines. But full of DLC's and it's no cheap.

Playing Lord of the RIngs Online since beta/launch (2007) ...

https://www.lotro.com/home

Playing on and off, always tried to keep my main character min/maxed, for endgame / grouping.
But yeah, done with that after so many years.
Just roleplaying and crafting for now.
Rolled some new lowlevel toons, found a guild (kin , it's called in Lotro) with other likeminded people, and yeah, totally happy, just playing occasionally now.

Was a big Strategy and MMO gamer growing up, did a lot of WoW, Runescape, FFXIV for a decade. As well as Age of Empires 2, Civilization 5/6, and now I play a ton of Crusader Kings 3.
I enjoy RPGs occasionally but I most enjoy them when I can play them with people and I also occasionally get in the mood for Visual Novels. I also play most of the major party games as my friends get into them (Like Lethal Company, Palworld, etc)

Right now I mostly play ATS/ETS, and in my off-time I play Crusader Kings 3, Geoguessr, and War of Rights.
I am desperately hoping that Ashes of Creation is good, because I have wanted to get back into MMORPGs forever but nothing ever feels good anymore. Archeage was the closet I got to regaining that MMO high, so I was happy to hear Steven Sharif say his main inspiration was a non-P2W Archeage.

For the most part I am someone who loves languages, exploring the world, history and learning new things, and spending time with others. So the games I like tend to be simulator games, games that let me see the world and other cultures, and games I can enjoy with other people.

My games are quite old for the most part but quite customizable so I can change up my experience a bit every playthrough. Not having a job, I can't really buy much from the one yearly gift card I get.

The Simulation League
· ETS2 - ATS .. 5032 hours - 1813 hours

Started with a disc version of the [ETS2] base game, a loooong time ago. So, there's more hours played than my Steam hours I wrote above. Later I learned Going East had released so got disc version of the game again but with that DLC coming with it. [Miss the days where I could buy whatever] Later learned about Steam and activated my game on that. I got ATS on that sneaky early release. Mainly got both games for relaxing purposes, the long trips I love to do are perfect for thinking many things thru and just calming down in general. Now I also like to tinker on some trucks a little bit.

The RPG League
· The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim [LE - SE/AE] .. 412 - 1846 hours

Yeah, I'm one of those people .. .. Got this long ago on disc because I wanted to try something completely different from all the race games I used to play, saw this in the store and was like: "Hmm, why not?". Turns out, many editions and consoles/pc versions later, I actually enjoyed it! It's one of the few games I can play over and over and still not get tired of it, having thousands of mods to change it up every time [and more big projects in the works] keeps it interesting. It's great to also just relax in on my own. I've also recently started tinkering on this game, learning how to mod it - with a couple early successful attempts!

If I may recommend a massive overhaul project / mod: Enderal: Forgotten Stories (Special Edition). A complete overhaul of Skyrim, it's basically an entirely new game built on Skyrim's engine.

· Fallout 4 .. 1231 hours

Once I found out the same developers had released a new game after I fell in love with the Skyrim, I figured it'll probably be just as fun to play. Once I had some initial hours in I realized it is just as fun and was probably one of my first games ever with guns. Sadly it's not as solid as the Elder Scrolls series so hasn't as much [modding] support so I play this much less but still enjoy it every now and then.

Soon an overhaul project / mod releases for Fallout 4 called Fallout: London. Entirely new game basically on Fallout 4's engine.

· Starfield .. 465 hours

My first new game in many, many years .. Boy, did the community not like this one! But .. I do, so I keep playing it. I love space and it's many planets, moons, neutron stars, quasars, .. and always wanted to have a decent game in space. It's not too big and it's SOLO so for me it's ideal. The game definitely has some shortfalls but I enjoy it well enough as it is now, hopefully I can get the DLC and hopefully it's good.

· The Elder Scrolls Online .. 3394 hours

Logical step for me after having played the other Elder Scrolls titles [Morrowind, Oblivion, Legends] and loving some of them. Biggest selling part for me was it being an MMORPG in the Elder Scrolls world and having a chance of seeing what the other provinces are like outside of Skyrim, which I had seen about a billion times already by that point. it's a struggle to afford all the DLCs but eventually I get around to getting them. It's also my first [and only] MMO ever, I have no idea what other MMOs are like but to me ESO is almost ideal, got some point I wish were different but yeah, can't have everything. Became quite a bit more fun after a certain somebody joined me in this game and actually liked it, none of my other friends have any interest in the games I play.

The Diverse League
Other games I sometimes play or have played in the past, quite a lot in some cases.

· Basically every race game under the sun up until Gran Turismo 6, Dirt Rally 2.0, The Crew 2 .. After those I started going to simulation and RPG games.
· Strategy games likes Civilization 5 and 6.
· Transport games like Transport Fever 2.
· GTA SA, IV, V .. Until it became a greed fest.
· The Witcher 3 .. Amazing game, quite hard for a noob like me. What I wish Skyrim was more like.
· Assassin's Creed games up until Origins, played that one a little bit and never played Odyssey or any of the ones after. Now the devs are .. Yeah, let's not mention them.
· Microsoft Flight Simulator X and P3D .. Love flying around but man, it's way too expensive.
· Star Citizen .. Boy, what a mistake that was.
· Frostpunk .. Yeah, didn't go too well - don't let me run cities or anything similar!
· RollerCoaster Tycoon 1,2 and 3 .. Always loved those, World was terrible tho.
· Bunch of other smaller games like Visual Novels, Puzzles, ..
