I think this has gone a bit too far.
Please, stop arguing about other games and stick to the OP's subject. This is SCS forum's Bugs section and discussions should be about SCS products. If you want to talk about something different, like sun position around the solstice, do it in the Off topic section.
If you think there is something new to add to this subject, do it. If not, better avoid fueling this fight.
Thank you all for your understanding.
If things don't calm down I will have to lock this.

In that topic, i've suggested quite some weather changes, one of them is making the sight of a Full Moon a rarity. We see it too much in the game and it's the same everywhere basically.

Wrong position of the sun means NO NOON in game. See those ridiculous shadows. I hope you all know how small are shadows at noon during summer period.

I can't really say the game isn't playable with smaller shadows at high noon.Atak_Snajpera wrote:Wrong position of the sun means NO NOON in game. See those ridiculous shadows. I hope you all know how small are shadows at noon during summer period.
Anyway, this will be addressed in conjunction with seasons, so it will be a major change. I don't know if it will be in the near future, but it is not out of the question.

Just pretend you're in a Nordic country. Problem fixed.Atak_Snajpera wrote:Wrong position of the sun means NO NOON in game. See those ridiculous shadows. I hope you all know how small are shadows at noon during summer period.

Re: Wrong position of the SUN in sky (sunrise / sunset)
Wow! 47 posts...plus mine.
My own views on this stellar subject:
I don't find the incorrect position of these objects (sun, moon) to be at all distracting. I also don't find the shadows cast to be alarming. And I'm not too concerned about the fact that every moon is of the harvest variety (both full & large). In an older thread, I did note that I thought having the sun cast real shadows before 5:00am was a bogus, but I've tempered my opinion somewhat - the added time where the ETS2 world is bathed in light really does the map/graphics creators justice - it's just too beautiful to be shrouded in darkness for that long.
Personally speaking, I'd much rather see SCS' development efforts focused on fixing issues affecting game-play...like the AI (a pet peeve of mine to be sure). They've already suggested that the sun/moon issues could be addressed much more efficiently if seasons are added - that in itself will be quite a tall order. I'm fine with this approach.
Cheers,
FirstFlyte

ohhh my GOD, you people are talking about shadows... The developers should adress the itch I'm feeling in the right butt chick by sitting hours in the seat, not comfortable at all let me tell you

Actually, it was suggested somewhere that SCS should release its own, official gaming set - truck steering wheel, pedals, gear stick... We can add massage cushion for your sour behind!
