Mispositioned weigh station triggers near Corpus Christi/TX

Badly positioned weight station triggers in Texas
Game version: 1.49
OS: Win10x64
map marker:

Code: Select all

Badly positioned weight station triggers ;[15/04/2024 02:57:43] (sec-0003+0016);-9531;15.4114;65439.7;0.396563;-0.283393
If you align the truck closer to the "Stop Here" signs, the truck will stop outside the weigh trigger area and you'll have to back up.

Seems like during development the focus was to center the triggers on the maintenance hatches instead of the indication signs. This has caused me some confusion and a bit of frustration as I can't stop where I should. :)

p.s.: How could I fix this myself in map editor? I can't seem to be able to just move this. There are some things I can't click no matter how hard I try. :}

I couldn't find this station IRL so I guess it's just something... well, I don't know where this station was based from.

To my taste, it'd work best if I could position the truck in the plaques "stop here". So I changed the station like this (found how I could move the triggers -- too bad I need to move the whole white asphalt and misalign it -- and also moved the sign for people going south (the one shown in the original screenshot) to be in the last pillar like the one for trucks going north.

This is how it looks; the triggers are in a better position but it'd be great to make the cement segment look the same both ways -- and perhaps actually fit the trucks to pretend it's all the scale. Not sure how weigh stations work to be honest.
