Arduino Controller?

#1 Post by Thedude » 13 May 2024 05:30

Anyone know why an arduino button controller wouldn't work in the game? Steam sees the two devices I have but the game does not have them in the controller drop down list. I have dug around in the control config files and the devices even show up in there but still... Funny thing is if I run the game in Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout) the devices show up and work but it messes up my wheel (Fanatec CSL DD) and removes my basic button box.

Running the latest LTS Kubuntu at the moment. I have tried various different versions of Proton to no avail.

So for now, I am using qjoypad to translate the devices buttons to keys on the keyboard and use them this way. Problem is, that one of my arduinos is a range/splitter shifter knob and those can only be set as a button in game, not a key. If SCS made it so I can set those two controls to a key press I can have everything working in this janky, unnecessary method... but it would all work.

I bought a splitter handle that is Arduino based and it shows up and works perfectly fine. Just stating that it can work. I have to tick the "Shifter toggle use Switch Mode" otherwise I have to toggle the switches twice to get a reaction out of them.

I know it's not a very helpful reply but someone out there has your answer. I've had mine a couple of years now and can't remember where I got it from.

Also hope that someone else actually looks at this board too..
