Everytime i try to launch american truck simulator on steam it says the game is running but nothing shows

Common causes include:

If you've used the taa mod, delete all files from it.
Make sure the game and steam are not running in compatibility mode.
If running windows 7, use OpenGL mode as DX no longer works.
Make sure your windows swap file is set to 'system managed'
Disable the NVIDIA overlay
Disable the Discord overlay
You may need more than 20GB free on the system drive for swap files
If you are on NVIDIA and have previously used the Profile Inspector for better anti-aliasing, all SCS profiles MUST be restored to driver default, for game version 1.50.
If you use DSR, deactivate it.
Some anti-virus programs can cause crash on start.

Try verifying game files.
In Steam, right click on the game, select properties, go to local files tab and press verify integrity of game files.

If that doesn't work post your game.log.txt and crash log to pastebin.com (no account needed) and then post the link here and we'll have a look for you (split the game.log.txt into multiple pastes if it is too big).

game wont even launch in safe mode I have a feeling its a mod
