Tip for Linux users

I'm also publishing here what I've already written in the ATS and ETS2 forums on Steam.

If you are having problems in ATS or ETS2 you can try the following.

In the library right click on the game title and click properties. The second entry should be about compatibility. Click to force a compatibility tool. Leave 'Proton Experimental' checked and wait for it to download along with any additional updates. After that it will work.

Proton is equivalent to SteamOS, the operating system used for SteamDeck. If a game has no problems on SteamDeck, it will not have any problems on your Linux distro.
This is still valid today even on the latest version of Linux Mint (Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon (Wilma) - Kernel 6.8.0).
