...anyways that's good knowledge to remember, as to keep for future reference -just in case I hit the lottery & then & only then I can afford to buy the Hori

I currently have a Thrustmaster T248 without the Simtask kit and TH8A shifter add-on. I'm thinking about buying the Hori Truck Control System, what do you guys think?

Worth every penny, ATS and ETS2 is a totally new experience now, and I had Logitech G923 before, which was a nice wheel then
It has a nice "feeling" of leather touch, infinity of button options and not a feeling of a bunch of plastic.
The pedals could have been a bit more heavy, but that is just a question of placeing them right I think.

I took DisgruntledTrucker's advice and changed the steering radius to 1400 degrees. I also went and bought a cheap steering knob which helps when you need to make a quick turn.

Hori is out of my league but I have a knob both in the games' Thrustmaster _and_ in my IRL car, and it's definitely a MUST have.

Diameter is as expected. It does stick out 15~20cm more than a racing-style wheel (e.g Logitech), so you may need to adjust monitor distance (I do due to eyesight limitation) & also bring pedals closer to you if you are shorter than 6ft. Due to the depth it is likely preferable for you to have the space on your desk to be able to slide it out the way, rather than trying to type round it. Rotation is smooth with just a slight soft detection of the gearwheel teeth. Button quality is a little wobbly but not worrisome, although the centre horn push does need to be more solidly damped than it is. Pedals feel well built but have shorter travel than other units. Gearshift needs to be firmly screwed to the desk (the ball-jointed circular pad part does remove if this makes it easier). The buttons are sufficient quality, but the handbrake button is disappointingly rattly where you should expect this to be a much more solid affair. Like any significant new hardware (especially after using a G27 for over a decade!) it takes getting used to, but is a worthwhile investment.
