Yeah, same for me, also Germany. My preorder got cancelled today. I think i will just stick to my t(h)rusty T(h)rustmaster setupCraven wrote: 14 Oct 2024 16:25 Anyone here from Germany, that got it already? My Preorder was canceled.
What got me interested in the first place were the 1800° degrees of the wheel and the bigger diameter, but im also ok with 1080° and the default T300RS GT.
So now it is like they took the decision from me, and made me appreciate my "old" setup even more
Bleib sauber, fahr VOLVO!

Hori truck FFB steering wheel question
I just got the Hori truck kit and I like it a lot, I am former truck (retired) driver and steering is like the last one I drove in my job a Volvo FH. 2 and a half lap in each direction. But...
This is a question to you who have this kit and if you also experience this, just wonder if there is something wrong with my kit or it is like this nothing is wrong/broken
The force feedback feels notchy. It is like I can feel the gear stepping from tooth to tooth. It prevents smooth driving on highways with small adjustments. You feel the gear stepping from tooth to tooth with a weak jerk
It is like this also with no power and unplugged from PC so it must be the gears inside that are causing this.
In my G29 FFB wheel I did not feel this, possible to drive with very small adjustments.
Anyone else feeling this? If so there is nothing wrong with my kit.

^ I haven't noticed this, but I can hear the "whirrrr" from the gears when turning quickly. I put a steering knob on mine to help with quick turns.
I think you can adjust the force feedback through the software that you need to download for it.

A little late, but...the pedals do in fact slide on my laminate floor. Though I fixed it by using an old book and putting it between the wall and the back of the pedals. It doesn't move anymore.

Ok I also hear those whirrr little like rattle when moving back fast after a sharp turn.Maverick89 wrote: 14 Oct 2024 21:00 ^ I haven't noticed this, but I can hear the "whirrrr" from the gears when turning quickly. I put a steering knob on mine to help with quick turns.

The notch feeling is not strong very weak, try using only a finger and move wheel. A real Volvo FH the one I had at work you could turn the wheel standing still on tarmac with only a finger. Double servos my boss told me
It is only little irritating. I checked the Hori app and played around with different settings but the small notches are there no matter what I change.
No big deal the rest of the kit is great, little over priced only.

Now in the process of setting up. I expected it all to just work. Initially had to reset to defaults in the app, then cod get the pedals to respond. There is no magic software layer between it & the game's default assignments so it's a case of carefully going through every control in the game & working with the mapping resource at https://hori.co.uk/hpc-044e/mapping (this mapping is a set of inages, not searchable text!). Not as bad as I expected as you learn again every subtle wording & button position although with anyone with imperfect eyesight the numbers on the buttons are borderline too small. Has everyone else had to do this?

Did you not run the wizard in the controls tab?Davina wrote: 15 Oct 2024 06:16 Now in the process of setting up. I expected it all to just work. Yes that didn't appear to do anything other than the basics. I might revisit this this evening if I get time but don't want to undo the work I've already done.
