^Correct. The same way people talk about just driving a semi around with no trailer.....the same exact thing for a RV or car for people that literally just want to drive. No jobs, no delivery. Just drive. Just like a bobtailing.

And regarding fire engines, SCS' Extreme Trucker games did actually feature a couple of fire engine and snowplow missions!
The Mack CH613 fire engine was only drivable on the Yungas Road map, and the Mack CH613 snowplow only on the Tuktoyaktuk Winter Road map.

With the former they had you drive to a Boeing 747 crash site (which wasn't mission-specific but rather a permanent feature of the map), and with the latter they had you deliver Contaminated Snow from one part of the map to another – snow wasn't actually being plowed away.

Especially sharing a video of vocational 49X in your social media account and not adding those before other vehicles is just wrong. Not to mentioning busses needs entire different mechanics.
The 49x is in game though?

I think me must consider that it is called American/European TRUCK Simulator ;)

I cant drive that one tho even it's in the game.

Yup, because they haven't added rigids to the game.

Also the 47X is in the pic and that isn't in the game at all.

Speaking of the 47x, it would be a cool addition to the game.

You keep talking about buses, rigids, and RVs, but what if they want to bring "normal cars" into the game?

I don't know, a couple of licensed cars in "open world" style...

@Ramirez5 That may happen in future, as I believe a dev did talk about them wanting players to experience their world from angles other than a truck driver, though what gameplay element would the addition of normal cars bring to the game?

Would you be able to attach any trailers to them, or would they exclusively be for exploring the map and nothing much else?
If so, no drivers could be assigned to them either and they wouldn't be able to earn you any money.

With vans or pickups it's a different story, as I'd say those'd count as (albeit comparatively small) rigid trucks, though with cars I'm not so sure how they'd properly fit into the game.

I remember on old Hard Truck 2, you were able to drive a BMW M3 if you won the game, though IIRC a later version exclusive to either Russia and/or Europe had it where you could drive the cars for deliveries like with the regular existing trucks.

But then again, that game was far from what ATS is.
Hoping for the CA-99/CA-58 interchange to be fixed.......

-Licensed Class A driver since Oct 22nd 2024.
-OTR driver for MTC
-Former Class B Propane Bobtail driver.

@Ramirez5 Given current physics don't support normal cars, this is very unlikely.

@Madkine I think the buses are definitely being worked on, there's also a physics change needed, so I don't think if they wanted to add normal cars to the game the physics would stop them.
