WBPD (West Balkans Path-Breaker's Direction) Add-on Map
From the name 'Another5_Mrd1', now it’s my turn to carry on this amazing legacy!
It's a new little add-on map mod that contains an extensive rework of the West Balkans DLC map for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2). It's designed for players seeking to explore new realistic routes through the map.

List of map contents since the initial release (updated to v5.7):
a) Croatia
- New explorable cities: Slavonski Brod, Vukovar, and Požega
- New scenery town: Županja and Našice
- Reworked A3 (E70) motorway section from Slavonski Brod to Županja
- Fully reworked "Slavonika" A5 (E73) motorway, connecting the Hungarian border to the Bosnian border crossing (Donji Svilaj), including the “3rd Guards Brigade Kune Bridge” over the Drava River
- Major rework in Osijek, including:
* Industrijska Četvrt area with a new MAN truck dealer
* Explorable river port of Luka Osijek
* Reworked factory in Nemetin
- Numerous secret roads around Osijek Airport
- New roads added:
* D55 from Vukovar to Županja
* D53 around Slavonski Brod, and a small section from Našice to Požega
* D2 extended from Osijek to Našice
* D51 around Požega
b) Bosnia & Herzegovina
- New explorable city: Doboj and Gradiška
- New scenery towns: (Bosanski) Brod, Matuzići (south of Doboj), Modriča, (Bosanski) Šamac, Orašje, and Simin Han (east of Tuzla)
- Reworked towns in-game: Lukavac (scenery), and Karakaj (explorable - part of Zvornik)
- Fully reworked “9. Januar” Motorway from Doboj to Banja Luka
- Added several secret roads between the aluminum factory in Karakaj and Jardan (junction)
- New roads added:
* M14.1 and M17 connecting Doboj, Kladari (motorway exit), Brod, Modriča, and Šamac
* R462a from Šamac to Lončari junction
* M4 from Matuzići directly to Banja Luka
* M1.8 from Orašje directly to to Šićki Brod junction (near Tuzla)
* M19 from Karakaj to Šepak border crossing.
- Reworked Liješnica paper factory (SCS_Paper) and its surroundings
c) Serbia
- Added a border crossing: Trbušnica, near Loznica

Requirements:
- ETS2 1.60, and above.
- Only a map DLC: West Balkans
(For example: if you have 'West Balkans DLC' but don't have 'Iberia DLC', you can still play this map. Of course, you can play this map with all full DLCs. Compatible with Greece DLC and Nordic Horizon DLC too).
- About compatibility with other map mods (i.e ProMods), you can use this additional mod: WBPD - Promods 2.80 Fix made by Foryst. Download HERE
Map installation:
- Place the file “wbpd_addon_map_main.scs” into your mod directory: "C:\Users\<your_PC>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod"
- If using this map in a map combo setup, position it above other (add-on) maps in the Mod Manager. You can check examples from people who’ve made their own ETS2 map combos on YouTube or this SCS forums.

Q: Is this WBPD add-on map mod compatible with other map mods (e.g., ProMods, Rusmap, Poland Rebuilding, RoEx, etc.)? Can this map be used for map combo and stuff?
A: Yes, fortunately it is currently compatible for map combo, as long it does not overwrite any areas covered by other map mods.
But why... 'fortunately'? Because in the future, there may be another possible new add-on maps that expand into the (West) Balkan region and surrounding. There's also a chance that several big map mods could extend into this current map area, which might eventually cause conflicts or overwrite parts of this map.
UPDATE: Oh, that’s already happening… Several roads in WBPD map get broken when using ProMods map, so you need to use the additional "road connection" mod I've provided on "Requirement" above.
Q: Do I need full (map) DLCs to play this map mod?
A: NO, interestingly you ONLY need West Balkan DLC. For examples:
- If you have 'West Balkans DLC' but don't have 'Iberia DLC' or "Scandinavia DLC", you can play this map.
- If you have 'West Balkans DLC' but also have 'Greece DLC', you can still play this map.
- If you have 'Going East DLC' but don't have 'West Balkans DLC', means you cannot play this map. Because 'West Balkans DLC' is required.
Q: But why does this WBPD map mod only require the West Balkans DLC, while most other map mods require all map DLCs to work?
A: West Balkans DLC itself is mandatory because the map directly modifies and builds upon content from that specific DLC. Moreover, with each game update, SCS often moves many assets from existing map DLCs into the base game, especially those that will be reused in base map reworks or upcoming map expansions. This reduces reliance on multiple DLCs for map mod development.
Q: Which areas or countries are currently covered by this WBPD map mod? And what's the plan for the next update?
A: At this stage, the map mod is primarily focused on countries located within the West Balkans region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia. Development is mostly concentrated on enhancing and expanding around Sava, Drava, and Drina river. Of course, with attention to both realism and detail.
If you are wondering about cities or regions outside these three countries, the short answer is: they are not planned for the current release. Any area beyond these borders is considered potential content for future updates, depending on development time, community interest, and of course, compatibility with other map mods.
Notes:
This WBPD map is still compatible with the map combo. But let me know if there are other map mods that were incompatible with this map. And feel free to create a new road connection mod if necessary.
