Happy New Year. The Linux kernel driver for the HORI Truck Control System is in a good progress.
Gas, Brake and Clutch are avaible now and the Steering Wheel is on the right axis, the left analog stick have the correct axis, too.
The deadzones are not fixed yet and the Force Feedback is not avaible at this time.
The buttons, the hat switch and d-pads are not complete. The half from the buttons are finished. The Shifter is not complete now and i think i will give the shifter a own driver.
You can test the driver and feedback is welcome:

Re: Linux kernel driver for the HORI Truck Control System [v0.0.1]
The first kernel driver version in 0.0.1 is released now.
Hori Kernel driver for kernels 6.12 or higher
HORI Truck Control System Wheel:
Button 5 can't use as return or left mouse button, because the button is not mapped as left mouse button/return key.
The steering wheel behaves the same as under Windows. The left analog stick can now be used as a mouse.
The dead zones are also been resolved and the hatswich are working as expected.
The dead zones and range from the wheel are fixed at this moment and the driver does not yet have a userspace connection for the future Linux Hori Device Management GUI
The shifter is full working now, too.
This kernel driver is early alpha.

Linux Mint. I got the Hori controller and driver installed. Otherwise everything works except the steering wheel. evtest /dev/input/by-id/usb-HORI_CO._LTD._HORI_TRUCK_CONTROL_SYSTEM_WHEEL-event-joystick shows that the steering wheel is found and working. What's wrong?

I am just a regular user.
I use Debian 13.
I installed your driver.
Everything is working.
But i have a problem.
When your driver module is loaded, then the in-game steering wheel isn't moving smooth.
It is like it jumps throught amount of degrees.
But still i can drive normally.
It is not a big problem, but it is frustrating.
I run some tests.
I discovered that when i unload your driver module, then the in-game steering wheel is moving very smooth.
Can you provide me some tips?
Maybe i am missing some packages in my Debian 13 OS?
Or maybe my Hori Truck Control System is somehow broken?
Thankyou for any response.

Re: Linux kernel driver for the HORI Truck Control System [v0.0.2]
Hi,
Thanks for the awesome driver! I use it in Kubuntu 25.10 is works great. I have only two issues:
- The in game wheel is not linear. Even though in the settings Controls page the Axis is moving left/right analog following the physical wheel, when driving in game, the truck's steering is made in small steps (not smooth motion).
- The physical Hori wheel is too heavy -- hard to steer. Is there any way to adjust this from a config file or something?
Thanks,
