#1 Post by INSTG8R » 27 Jan 2025 14:42

I use the paddle cliutch on ,my wheel to recenter VR sometimes BOTH Games lose it the axs can be mapped as say clutch so the game still sees the axis but won't let me assign as a key
Control and Log sent
Edit it also loses it if you alt+tab
edit currently working in ATS but not ETS

I’ve solved this issue by changing the axis to “Handbrake” and the game recognizes it and allows me to map it now.

Hi, can you give us more steps to reproduce this bug if it happens just sometimes? Thank's for your effort

Well ATS it seems to be a non issue. basically my Logitech GPro wheel has dual paddle clutches that can also be assigned as "Axis A and B", Handbrake, Cluctch, Gas, Brake etc, The GHub Software has a default ETS2 and ATS profile for the game that will activate when the game is launched. The issue I found that with ETS2 was if I was assiging it as Axis A it was pretty hit and miss the axis would be detected under Keys and Buttons despite going in to Controls and just "testing it" by assiging to Clutch which proved the actual Axis was visible to the game just not under keys and buttons. ATS was perfectly fine with using that assignment. My solution was to assighn not as an axis but use Handbrake(now no matter what I assign the axis to in the Ghub Software both games just say "Joy Down" as the mapped key. Anyways assigning to a "function" rather than an axis basically allowed it to be mapped and remain mapped in ETS2. ATS never once had to be remapped or changed it just always worked.
I have now just basically duplicated the assignments for both games just because ETS was the one losing the axis once I found a combination that "stuck" I just duplicated them. Also a reference picture of all possbile options to assign to the paddles

If it's just ETS2 issue you can escalate it in ETS2 forum if it's still relevant. Any way thank's for your effort
