Question about forum images
Hi guys,
Regarding my modeling hobby, I would love to keep a topic on my truck WIP builds, but it bothers me I can't show images directly on the forum, and need to link the image.. That kinda messes up the reading quality of the posts imo,..
Any suggestions on how I could do this best?

Re: Question about forum images
You can add images directly to the forum (as long as they are under 1.1MB) and you can link images from other sites and have them show directly too.

Re: Question about forum images
yes use the img tag
for image hosting eg imgur can give the correct tag construct to paste in
Tags follow standard phpbb guidelines and documentation

Re: Question about forum images
I see you use postimg.cc to store images. So then you can use the "direct link" in the postimg.cc Share option to have them show up directly in the forum. Just copy that link into the forum post in this format.
Code: Select all

Re: Question about forum images
Yeah, for now that is.. It's still bit of experimenting. Still looking for a better image host.. For reasons that are beyond my comprehension, you can't even 'next' with arrows or something inside an album on postimg.cc, you gotta 'go back' en select another image to view in full..
If theres a decent image host as well, would love to hear it!
For some reason I cannot seem to figure out how to show images directly here..
[ external image ] +1.1mb via hotlink for fora
[ external image ] -1.1mb via hotlink for fora
[ external image ] -1.1mb link and image tag
https://postimg.cc/yJ775xqc -1.1mb link only
[ external image ] -1.1mb img tag only
[ external image ] -1.1mb via direct link img tag
-1.1mb via direct link url tag inside image tag[ external image ] as posted above by the_simtrucker

Re: Question about forum images
@Gardijntje Some of those worked properly. Check how you did those ones and do it that way in future.
*For externally hosted images (which all of those are) there is not a 1.1MB limit. That limit only applies if you add the image as an attachment.
