Re: Project Road Trip Discussion Thread
Now I'm wondering, Is Filipkooo one of the new sound poeple? I kept thinking Filipkooo was here the whole time and just recently made an account here. .-. Thought it was only 1 person that does all sounds. Idk how many there are now. :I Also, maybe we can ask Filipkooo to tweak the sound a bit maybe?

Box on the load marker, so it's obvious that we'll be transporting small loads on pickup trucks, and in the future, trailers will probably appear for them.
But the question remains: what functionality will muscle cars and sports cars have? Will we be transporting anything on them or just driving? Perhaps they'll be used for other types of cargo.

If you check his account history, I think he started as a QA guy a while back then moved to ambient sounds, then only very recently started doing truck sounds. I believe that is the progression but idkparasaurolophus67 wrote: 27 Jun 2026 18:09 Now I'm wondering, Is Filipkooo one of the new sound poeple? I think the smaller cars will have the same functionality as the pickups, albeit probably with less payload for the packages/goods.AntonioMart wrote: 27 Jun 2026 18:42 Box on the load marker, so it's obvious that we'll be transporting small loads on pickup trucks, and in the future, trailers will probably appear for them.

I also assume Rigid Mechanics will also be implemented on the cars just like with Coaches. It would have to be that way given most of the vehicles outside of the pickups won't have towing ability.

Well, it’s unlikely that anyone would drive a Nissan GT-R or Dodge Viper to a base like this, which is located outside the city and is reached by a dirt road.

^^^ right?
A lot of people here assuming cars and pickups will have the same job system, but i don't think that's a given at all.
I think in addition to small payloads, pickups will get access to small trailers sooner or later, while cars will probably go down a different path. In addition to taxi/uber jobs, which i think are a guarantee despite stretching the bounds of realism just a bit, i could see more of a "mission" based system- for example: take 10 photo trophies along route 66 within a weekend; time-based leaderboards for specific routes; drive a rich tourist from Denver airport to Devil's Tower for selfies, and then on to Jackson Hole for his vacation. That sort of thing.
I have a feeling that's a big part of what the Community Events team, or whoever used to do the Cruising events, is working on behind the scenes right now.

Filipkooo addressed the sounds in the F150 video and they are not his. However he said he will take a look and fix the sound issues.
