Re: Project Road Trip Discussion Thread
$17.99 for FOUR cars? Are you out of your mind? SCS will never be that greedy if they want Road Trip to be successful, if i had to bet, i would say every car pack will be $4.99 if they want them to sell, and Coaches can totally be $9.99.

Trailer dlc are for 3,99$, 4,99$ would be kinda too cheap for car pack imo.

Very intresting take considering that some time ago scs removed bundles of maps and now we are left with those terrible ones + new map dlcs are not in in. Specially its the problem of ats with many small dlcs and no bundles. Pavel said like 2yo ago that they want no make cost of those map dlcs for ats at good level but it looks like now it isnt their strategy

Fancy theory, mate.
At any rate car DLC can't be more expensive than NA map DLC, let alone the whole game. 5 to 7 bucks looks reasonable.

But that has nothing to do with being greedy to the point of making the car packs REALLY expensive for absolutely no reason, SCS prices have always been very reasonable, i see the new bundles thing as a way of telling people how things will be with the Consoles version, they might make some changes to that in the future.Lionv8 wrote: 04 Sep 2026 23:54Very intresting take considering that some time ago scs removed bundles of maps and now we are left with those terrible ones + new map dlcs are not in in. I would expect RT packs to be about the same price as the ETS2 trailer packs. Similar amount of content, although it could be a bit more.
At the end of the day it's whatever SCS feels is appropriate for the time taken and content amount, whether it's more or less than Map DLC is completely irrelevant.

Re: Project Road Trip Discussion Thread
If it really is $4 for a pack then I'd probably buy the Ford one, despite my heavy reservations for the mode as a whole. I perceive that as pretty cheap for 4 vehicles and a new, albeit pretty lackluster and early access-feeling, mode.
I would guess each pack will be somewhere between the price of a trailer pack and a map DLC. It might be a similar amount of content as a trailer pack but a) it's a lot higher profile so they could command a higher price pretty easily I'd think, and b) it changes the game way more than some new trailers do.
Too close to a map DLC price and that would limit the number of people who decide to buy every pack or most packs, but too close to the price of a trailer pack and they're probably be selling themselves a bit short.
$6 could be a nice sweet spot, then you'd get 2 packs for the price of 1 map DLC, which seems pretty reasonable to me.

My main point is if those car pack would cost the same as trailer dlc then those trailer dlc would start to look expensive considering that car pack is far more better than few trailers with medium quality paintjob

We should be warned to not build up expectations. Let's see if we don't...
