Yes, it's a Viper GTS. The old original one.

It's my favorite sportscar, so I recognize the details.

It makes so much sense really, SCS has built/are building such great and expansive maps, I think this is great way of adding more to do with those worlds
ATS HQ: Las Vegas, NV & Omaha, NE
ETS HQ: Trondheim, Norway

Looking back at the photos, yeah, the shifter and dial look way more Ford-like than something out of Jeep. So it could be that new Bronco.

I'm not used to new Ford stuff, I'm still stuck in the 2010s era Ford stuff with my 2014 Fusion. It's definitely outdated but I still love it.

Have to say this is extremely exciting news, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

One thing I wonder about is the pricing/packaging aspect - from what I gathered watching the video it will be paid content, with packs of vehicles, and owning at least one pack of vehicles unlocks the feature as a whole.
I entirely understand the need to monetize a feature as big as this, but I'm a bit scared of putting vehicles behind a paywall.
The fact that new trucks have always been free has been a massive driving force in getting me back to the game over and over, and often a new truck release motivates me to buy some extra map DLCs to explore with the new truck.

I feel like I would prefer the feature as a whole being a paid DLC - and I'm very open to this being a rather expensive DLC - but buying the one big DLC unlocks all cars, present and future.

I guess ultimately this is something SCS has already considered and done market analysis on, so it is what it is, probably. I hope the car packs will at least be very competitively priced.

That is 100% an old Mustang. The dash and mirrors are a 67 or 68.

Well in that case, I guess it's time to rename the game into AVS (American Vehicle Simulator).

Everyone should watch the video, it answers a lot of the questions people have had in this thread:
  • Road Trip (may or may not be the final name, they haven't decided yet) will be integrated "seamlessly" into ATS, and you won't have separate profiles for semi trucks vs passenger vehicles; it won't be a separate game mode. You can deliver something in a semi-truck and then hop in a car to go sightseeing. The exact details of how that would be done were not specified.
  • They are looking to include flagship pickups, flagship cars, older generation vehicles, latest-and-greatest vehicles, and "classic Americana" vehicles. RVs were mentioned as a possibility but it sounds like they aren't an immediate focus.
  • They will produce packs of vehicles, one for each manufacturer, and each pack will include a few vehicles for a "very reasonable" price.
  • Each pack will include that manufacturer's flagship pickup truck, *when applicable*.
  • Each pack will be comparable in terms of amount of content, because they want to be fair to all their partners.
  • The first pack you buy will give you access to the Road Trip features. Road Trip is not available for purchase on its own, it's tied to owning at least one vehicle pack. So you can start out small and build your collection of vehicles over time.
  • Some vehicles are almost completed, others are early in production, and others have not been started due to a lack of references.
  • They will be releasing a blog post with a list of vehicles asking the community if they have access to any of them to help them get references.
  • ETS2 Road Trip is not in development, but if ATS Road Trip is successful then bringing it to ETS2 is something they'd like to do in the future.
@DisgruntledTrucker If any of this is blatantly incorrect please let me know so I don't spread any misinformation early on.

Hopefully this allows for those vehicles in traffic as well (I don’t see why not), as well as for police vehicles (Crown Vic) and eventually the Explorer.
What good is a world without detail?

Ooo, my time to shine. Pick me guys, pick me! I've got a 3rd gen Challenger I love taking pictures of lol

Edit: Nevermind, just got to that part of the video. Sounds like they'll mostly need older or rarer models. Damn, if it was a few years ago I'd still have my Z31 to offer up.
