Re: Project Road Trip Discussion Thread
If Nevada gets reworked to have State Route 318 in it, the Silver State Classic Challenge or something similar to it could be made as well. Given the road is closed for the event.
Hoping for the CA-99/CA-58 interchange to be fixed.......

Whoa, race tracks... that would require some real good car physics, more geared towards racing. Won't say it can't happen, but it doesn't seem (to me) to be SCS' goal.

Mate I’m speaking of car physics. When they mapped these race tracks as parts of DLC, PRT wasn’t even a thing. They were more or less eastereggs for us to use with our trucks. When I race in a sports car, I want appropriate physics though. Let’s wait what SCS comes up with

I think that is a good idea to add car rental for people, who cant afford carBandit & The Snowman wrote: 25 Jun 2025 11:00 Why silly?Ever heard of the $100 burger meme among private pilots? Cross-state pizza delivery should be a thing!1!21
The rental car idea is actually reality in Europe (can’t imagine this isn’t a thing in NA, or elsewhere). You can transfer a rental car for free which saves the rental company money for drivers and you get a one-way trip for free.
When my dad was young, he made a little extra money by driving factory-fresh cars from ships to trains that would bring them to dealerships etc. Maybe there’s something in this for PRT too.
But all in all I agree that PRT will probably have more touristic characteristics.
Edit:
Regarding the Streetview cars that 1.55 is about to bring... what if we get to drive them? Ain't no more legitimate reason to explore each and every corner of the map than driving this car.

I though of this idea
Why don’t they make a UHool depot
On the map and go rent or pick up a trailer
Like those small self storage trailer in the game but smaller rectangular or small dump trailer a car hauler
To haul a car on it or moving stuff from a house -to - house
In the city I know scs got the layout for it

Because there is still alot of work to do. If they don't feel like it's finished to show it off on a blog, They won't. It needs to be perfect so they can show it to the public.

I like this idea! Small trailers would actually add quite a bit of opporunities: u-haul like you said, also hauling a small boat or rv/camper, or maybe landscaping equipment .heroictrucker wrote: 08 Jul 2025 15:16 I though of this idea

Yeah, and it's a long-term project. Sure it is easier to simply model a car and have it in the game, but that isn't what's happening. The cars will arrive in packs a la Forza style, and there are gameplay mechanics that revolve around those types of vehicles.parasaurolophus67 wrote: 09 Jul 2025 20:18 Because there is still alot of work to do. Reworked cities and revamped old DLC could tie in to this, based on the Route 66 Project, and I would know everyone would love to drive their cars there. However it should be noted that PRT has its own dedicated team so it won't interfere with any other project.
